Its ridiculous.

You should watch that stossel episode.

This has nothing to do with safety, its about protecting big business.

You assume all of these imaginary aspects to try to support the claim that giving away water needs a permit.

my son was fined for not stopping at a stop light

no jail

my mom was fined for driving without both tail lights working

no jail

warnings that arent heeded turn to fines, Ive never heard of a fine leading to imprisonment though

I have, when someone doesn't pay the fine.

rarely would someone choose jail over their fine

if they do, they deserve what they get,,,,

Actually a lot of people do. You get credit for like $75.00 a day and instead of paying a fine they can just do a certain amount of days.

i dont know about this case but they probably had venders selling

bottled water for $5 a bottle and couldnt sell it because the church

was handing it out for free so they had the local thugs(cops) make

them stop

***********************************************************

here there trying to shut down the local farmers market

they want them to have 1 million dollars insurance for 4-6

venders for 4 hours a week on a public street

the goal is to only have big business and corporations so you

cant start a business or work for yourself

i saw a video on youtube of cops destroying healthy organic food by

throwing it in a garbage truck and crushing it up

I have had acquaintances who didn't pay their fines, who ended up going to jail. Apparently (?) there is even some kind of formula that is used - for each day in jail, you can 'pay off' a certain amount of your fines.

Volant, I usually find your posts to be extremist and sometimes ill-informed (such as on vaccination), but on this topic I emphatically agree with you. Things are very much getting out of hand:

A massive movement of people calling their representatives was successful in stopping SOPA. We can also fix this absurd over-regulation and abuse by regulatory agencies.

Kinda like the cops going out and threatening to arrest kids for having Lemonade Stands.
