You know what the irony is,if they make it illegal you'll actually see this in real life,only a clothes hanger will be stuck in it. why? I have more faith than that in women,, and I still believe it would have no bearing on how often I would personally have to 'see' such an image,,, |

If oBorme can spew bs and lies all over children, I don't see where showing what the reality of an aborted child looks like would be such a variant from the oBomination

wow,, are you running a marathon? because that was quite a STRETCH,,,,

I have a feeling if this had been the other way around and it had been a liberal walking around, showing children pictures of something the conservatives didn't think were appropriate, those conservatives would be throwing a fit.

It didn't and wasn't.
We all know what happens when assumptions are made, right? Lol! |

I believe some women may resort to such extremes, but I think most are either better educated or just plain not willing to risk such an experiment on their own body its just as likely that more women will be more cautious BEFORE they get pregenant so they wont be at that point in the first place,,,, but there is no way to measure which 'reality' is more likely,,,, |

I'm old enough to remember when Roe v. Wade was decided, and the photos shown around at that time were of women who had died from botched abortions. Some of them were the coathanger type, some were from quacks the women had resorted to in despair. Making all abortions illegal again will bring back this kind of butchery. It has nothing to do with educational level or "risking an experiment." There will always be a certain percentage of women who feel absolutely incapable of going through with a pregnancy. It's exactly the same kind of thinking as saying that refusing sex education will keep teenagers from having sex. Nothing will stop people from being human and making mistakes that they can't come back from. And no, this doesn't mean I'm "in favor of abortions." I just think we have to be realistic. |

@Bravalady
The idea that abortion must stay legal to avoid the back alley butchers and coat hangers is not an effective argument. Some who strongly oppose abortion feel the women who resort to back alley butchers and coat hangers deserve what they get. Not my thoughts, not by a long shot. I don't understand that thinking. Just that the discussion has come up numerous times here. |

Im not speaking about making abortion illegal, Im speaking only of certain prerequisites to abortion as to the reality of botched abortion, I do think education makes a HUGE difference,,,I think during roe vs wade period it was still stigmatized to have pre marital sex, or be pregnant outside of marriage,, all contributing to the pressure to not have a baby,, these stigmas no longer exist, so those times are not quite as relevant to modern times I see no reason to believe women will be any more likely to day to perform a botched abortion than they will be to use better precautions before they become pregnant |

Do you think people only get pregnant when they're trying to get pregnant? I think they get pregnant mostly when they arent taking the correct precautions to NOT get pregnant,,,, just like most people arent tRYING to get fat when they dont treat their bodies in the correct way,, but most people who take timee to MAKE SURE They treat their bodies correctly do not get fat,,, and Im sure some people try to suck out their own fat in weird ways, but that doesnt mean those going through surgeries shouldnt be receiving the correct information about risks and expectations,,, |

Do you think people only get pregnant when they're trying to get pregnant? Self control. If one 'humps' not... pregnant happens not. |

Do you think people only get pregnant when they're trying to get pregnant? Self control. If one 'humps' not... pregnant happens not. So, people should not have sex unless they want to have a baby? |
