Yeah, I did a scan there but I didn't get anything back. No glitches. I'm wondering what it could be. Computer still freezes and kicks me off now when I try other programs.

No blue screens thank god. Last night though I had to work her in safe mode cause I was scared of the normal way. Its very difficult doing anything in safe mode. I think its on life support.

The fact that you are able to use your laptop in Safemode indicates that the issue is most likely drivers or registry.

What do you mean the scan returned nothing? That is very unusual. There should be at least one or two entries.

Did you update your laptops drivers? If not, tell me the make and the model and I'll find them for you and post the links.

I don't know what it means. I figured logging into safe mode was better than things not opening right when I logging onto windows normally.

Yeah, I got a scan, yesterday before I phoned the jerk off nerd, did a scan and nothing came back. It didn't shut down, just stopped, the scan had nothing on it. No entries, did 100% but it kicked off before anything else happened.

Nope. The a$$hole nerd that supposedly fixed it said my hard drive was crap and needed to be replaced. According to him, he didn't find a used one because he wanted to return it back to me asap. So yea...

edit: if you mean driver as in HARD drive, then no. Other than that I don't know what drivers are.

Click the "Drivers & Software" Tab.

Select your Operating System from the drop down. (Windows XP, Windows 7, etc)

Scroll down to "Wireless" and expand the item.

Click download. Once it has downloaded, install it by double clicking and following the instructions.

Do the same with "Wireless Lan"

Hopefully that will get you going.

If not, I'll try to send you a support link later that will give me access to your laptop so I can fix it for you. I hate to take bread out of "The a$$hole nerd"s mouth, but he sounds incompetent.

Drivers are the instructions for how your Operating system (Windows) is to talk to your hardware. Think of it as a "English to Russian" dictionary for computer. Your Operating System can't tell the Hardware what it should do, unless the correct drivers are installed. It sounds like your computer is trying to ask "Where is the bathroom" and instead said "Your wife is ugly".
