some use it as a social site, some as a dating site and some use it as both. People that might be here for dating might want to get to know a person first before talking about going on a date. JMO

i been here on mingle and befor that justsayhi. i been on site since a least 5 yeaes morwelikely more and i dont recall people talking about dateing except a few. i think peccy found his mate here but not many

I don’t know whether this is a UK thing but have you heard the saying about their being elephant in the room? Well, the ‘elephant in this room’ is that this is a dating site so why would I want to talk about dating?

yeah i dont know what elephant in room refers to It's like mentioning something that's obvious. The 'elephant' in this case is that (for some), it is a dating site. If someone is interested in me, they send me an email, nudge or wink. If I'm interested in someone, I would do the same. I do my 'dating' outside of the topics I contribute on in the forums.

Mingle is a pretty basic format but, it really works. Talk to a bunch of people on many subjects in a social setting. People get to know you and your perspective and either like you or don't. The same as you may grow to like or dislike them. It AIN'T a magic button to have love just show up at your door in a couple of days. But, it works. I found my woman here and I am grateful. Took alot of time but...it was absolutely worth it.

I guess that most are looking to date, but in the communities everyone is chatting so it's not so much talking about dating as getting to know everyone
