I don't agree that "there will always be a need for vaccines."
Do you know how many millions of people have died from prescriptions drug reactions in the past 20 years? These were drugs prescribed and taken according to instructions. A healthy body and mind is the best defense against any "disease." I am not claiming that vaccines don't help people. What I am saying is that the body is designed to be healthy and if it is taken care of it will be. Doctors know a lot about disease, but not much about staying healthy. |

Do you know how many millions of people have died from prescriptions drug reactions in the past 20 years? Far, far, FAR fewer than died of the diseases vaccines were invented to prevent. Smallpox. German measles. Diptheria. Whooping cough. Et cetera. |

According to the groundbreaking 2003 medical report Death by Medicine, by Drs. Gary Null, Carolyn Dean, Martin Feldman, Debora Rasio and Dorothy Smith, 783,936 people in the United States die every year from conventional medicine mistakes. That's the equivalent of six jumbo jet crashes a day for an entire year. But where is the media attention for this tragedy? Where is the government support for stopping these medical mistakes before they happen?
After 9/11, the White House gave rise to the Department of Homeland Security, designed to prevent terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. Since its inception, billions of dollars have been poured into it. The 2006 budget allots $34.2 billion to the DHS, a number that has come down slightly from the $37.7 billion budget of 2003. According to the study led by Null, which involved a painstaking review of thousands of medical records, the United States spends $282 billion annually on deaths due to medical mistakes, or iatrogenic deaths. And that's a conservative estimate; only a fraction of medical errors are reported, according to the study. Actual medical mistakes are likely to be 20 times higher than the reported number because doctors fear retaliation for those mistakes. The American public heads to the doctor's office or the hospital time and again, oblivious of the alarming danger they're heading into. The public knows that medical errors occur, but they assume that errors are unusual, isolated events. Unfortunately, by accepting conventional medicine, patients voluntarily continue to walk into the leading cause of death in America. Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/009278.html#ixzz1ksn6Nefx |

In addition to deaths from prescribed drugs taken as directed, there are even more deaths from prescription drug abuse:
>>>> More people die in America every year from prescription drug abuse than die from heroin and cocaine combined. That stunning finding comes in a new report Tuesday from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC found a fourfold increase in deaths from prescription narcotics over the past decade. Not surprisingly, it coincides with a fourfold increase in the number of prescriptions written for the powerful painkillers. In 2008, the most recent year for which there are statistics, there were 20,044 overdose deaths from prescription drugs. Of those, 14,800 were from narcotic painkillers. “Prescription overdoses are epidemic in the U.S.”, says Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the CDC. Most people who die from prescription drug overdose are taking someone else’s medicines, he says. “Medicines that were left in the medicine cabinet. Medicines that were given to a friend or a relative. Maybe innocently, maybe maliciously.” Prescription narcotics are being handed out almost like candy by doctors – some of whom are genuinely interested in patient care – others who run so-called “pill mills”, where narcotic prescriptions are traded for cash to feed addictions. The CDC study found that enough narcotics are prescribed every year to medicate each and every adult in America every day for a month. Annual Causes of Death in the United States

The focus should be on HEALTH AND HEALTHY LIVING.
Instead, all anyone ever talks about is disease and finding the "magic pill" that will cure them. There is no magic pill. But you can take the red pill of truth. EXPLOSION! |

Where do you get your "millions of" statistics from? What prescription drugs are you referring to? Why are only the past 20 years important? |

The problem with your statistics is that you have no way of knowing how many people would have died without mass immunizations. I got my statistics from a documentary I watched, but they can be found on the Internet I'm sure. I'm referring to all prescription drugs and deaths from drug reactions. This is not drug abuse either, it is prescribed drugs that are taken according to doctors instructions. The past 20 years is just a span if time where the statistics were taken from. |

This is some dangerous ignorance.
Get a clue. http://www.smallpoxhistory.ucl.ac.uk/This is just one example. Stay specific, you talk about drug deaths as if that is the same topic, its not, get a clue. Do you know how much money is made distributing small pox vaccines? Almost none. It is to save lives. I don't agree that "there will always be a need for vaccines." Then you still do not understand vaccines, nor the nasty organisms they help protect us against. Evolution will guarantee that nasty organisms exist in our environment, and our immune system will protect some of us without vaccines. Small pox only 50% of people died before vaccines . . . not bad right? Small pox doesnt care how much gluten free food you eat, or what natural remedies you use, it doesn't care. Without the vaccines half of the people that gets it dies.
So if your ok with half of the people you know dieing from a preventable disease, then I guess its ok to be against vaccines despite your ignorance. Oh wait, I forgot about all the other disease we protect against. It may very well end up that only 1 in 10 of the people you know would be alive today without vaccines. Is that ok with you? The CDC found a fourfold increase in deaths from prescription narcotics over the past decade. Proscription narcotics HAS NOTHING to do with vaccines.
Narcotics are for pain management, not for immunization. |

I don't get the flu vaccine ever, and I haven't gotten the flu in at least over ten years. Might wanna think about that. It's not a coincidence. Quite frankly I view vaccines as poisons to the body that do much more harm than we are told they do. One look at the ingredients of a typical vaccine raises eyebrows all by itself. When you have a government constantly pushing for them, you must ask yourself why. What is their motive, what is their agenda. If you think it's anything for our good, I suggest you think again. |

Your level of paranoia is getting in the way of basic science. Governments are made up of people, people who would not exist if they didn't get vaccines to help protect against a devastating virus that can kill 50% of perfectly healthy people in a matter of weeks. Again that is just small pox, other nasty organisms exist that would bring that way past %50. |

What I am saying is that the body is designed to be healthy and if it is taken care of it will be. This is wrong. In the same way a healthy person can fall off a building and get dead, a healthy person can get small pox and get dead all without having ever done anything one might call unhealthy.

I realize Bushi, that you have scientific knowledge and a lot more faith in governments and large corporations that I do.
But when it comes to whether or not I can trust governments and corporations and the scientific community itself that is where I am a skeptic. I wonder how much disease is the result of germ warfare? It has and is being practiced. Mankind will not find good health until they can learn to love and care for each other instead of trying to kill each other and until they can take their attention off of death, war and disease and put it on happiness, health and love. Were Indians PURPOSELY infected with Smallpox? Fact is, on at least one occasion a high-ranking European considered infecting the Indians with smallpox as a tactic of war. I'm talking about Lord Jeffrey Amherst, commander of British forces in North America during the French and Indian War (1756-'63). Amherst and a subordinate discussed, apparently seriously, sending infected blankets to hostile tribes. What's more, we've got the documents to prove it, thanks to the enterprising research of Peter d'Errico, legal studies professor at the University of Massachusetts at (fittingly) Amherst. D'Errico slogged through hundreds of reels of microfilmed correspondence looking for the smoking gun, and he found it.
The exchange took place during Pontiac's Rebellion, which broke out after the war, in 1763. Forces led by Pontiac, a chief of the Ottawa who had been allied with the French, laid siege to the English at Fort Pitt. According to historian Francis Parkman, Amherst first raised the possibility of giving the Indians infected blankets in a letter to Colonel Henry Bouquet, who would lead reinforcements to Fort Pitt. No copy of this letter has come to light, but we do know that Bouquet discussed the matter in a postscript to a letter to Amherst on July 13, 1763: P.S. I will try to inocculate the Indians by means of Blankets that may fall in their hands, taking care however not to get the disease myself. As it is pity to oppose good men against them, I wish we could make use of the Spaniard's Method, and hunt them with English Dogs. Supported by Rangers, and some Light Horse, who would I think effectively extirpate or remove that Vermine. On July 16 Amherst replied, also in a postscript: P.S. You will Do well to try to Innoculate the Indians by means of Blanketts, as well as to try Every other method that can serve to Extirpate this Execrable Race. I should be very glad your Scheme for Hunting them Down by Dogs could take Effect, but England is at too great a Distance to think of that at present. On July 26 Bouquet wrote back: I received yesterday your Excellency's letters of 16th with their Inclosures. The signal for Indian Messengers, and all your directions will be observed. We don't know if Bouquet actually put the plan into effect, or if so with what result. We do know that a supply of smallpox-infected blankets was available, since the disease had broken out at Fort Pitt some weeks previously. We also know that the following spring smallpox was reported to be raging among the Indians in the vicinity. To modern ears, this talk about infecting the natives with smallpox, hunting them down with dogs, etc., sounds over the top. But it's easy to believe Amherst and company were serious. D'Errico provides other quotes from Amherst's correspondence that suggest he considered Native Americans subhumans who ought to be exterminated. Check out his research for yourself at www.nativeweb.org/pages/l egal/amherst/lord_jeff.html. He not only includes transcriptions but also reproduces the relevant parts of the incriminating letters. — Cecil Adams http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1088/did-whites-ever-give-native-americans-blankets-infected-with-smallpox Tuskegee syphilis experiment: ALL IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE AND MEDICINE-- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_syphilis_experiment A world of war is going to always be a world of disease. |

And as far as the number of prescription related deaths from drugs taken as directed.... that is simply an example of the failure of modern science and medicine.
For twenty years people have donated and poured billions of dollars into cancer research and more people die today of cancer than did 20 years ago. That is an example of the failure of modern science and medicine. Or is it just Business as usual? I am skeptical of science and I don't trust governments to tell the truth. I think today's medical community are 85% drug pushers and only 15% preventative medicine. Drugs treat symptoms, they rarely cure disease. |
