There is no need to have a war with Iran. Just bomb the nuclear processing facilities into destruction and go home. There is a very real need to eliminate their nuclear facilities however since they are arguably the world's worst sponsor of anti-American radical Islamic terrorism. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXRXnmsvwRQ You do realize that you belong to a very small minority of Americans who think like you do regarding war. Or Do You? |

no war in a conventional manner just use their own terrorist tactics on them grab a bunch of diplomats hold them for a year or so train some anti-iranians to go in and blow up their govt buildings--preferably when no one that is a civilian is working you know like their research laps n such as well as their gov communications offices n such use their own tactics against them but try to be a bit more civilian conscious n help the others reach their dream of b n with Allah just a thought but hey what do i know War begins with a series of small steps. This is a tempting way to deal with the problem. Yet it be a stupid step... Leading to war... (and being a barbarian on top of it). I do not want that kind of blood on the hands of the soldiers of my nation. Terrorism is a tool of the Beast of War. Would you really want this nation to turn away from that which is above our Constitution... and treat with the Beast of War. |

There is growing concern about an Israeli military strike against Iran to stop it from developing a nuclear weapon.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is quoted as saying it is likely Israel will launch the attack this spring. CBS News correspondent David Martin reports that Panetta believes specifically that there is a strong likelihood that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June. That quote came from columnist David Ignatius, writing shortly after he completed a trans-Atlantic flight with the defense secretary. Panetta, on Thursday, did not dispute it. He noted that Israel has stated publicly that it is considering military action against Iran. He said the U.S. has "indicated our concerns." As Panetta explained in an interview with "60 Minutes" an Israeli attack would almost certainly have consequences for the U.S. "The United States could be targeted as a result of that," Panetta said. "We would get blame, whether they like it or not. We would get blame as to being involved." Adding to U.S. concerns were a long day of strident warnings by Israeli officials at an international strategy conference near Tel Aviv about the dangers posed by Iran. At the conference, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Thursday that the world is increasingly ready to consider a military strike against Iran if economic sanctions don't halt Tehran's suspected nuclear program. http://m.cbsnews.com/fullstory.rbml?catid=57370759&feed_id=0&videofeed=36 |

Panetta believes specifically that there is a strong likelihood that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June. NEWSFLASH Israel might soon attack and destroy Iran's nuclear program since Iran has vowed to "wipe Israel off the map" and has violated their NPT commitments and secretly worked feverishly to accumulate the technology and materials to make nuclear weapons capable of wiping Israel off the map! This just in - Israel does not wish to be wiped off the map. Panetta in his mystical and semi-clairvoyance has somehow divined that an Israeli attack on Iran might happen in the coming months. The man is an oracle. He should be in a powerful position in our government! And to think we heard it first on mingle2... I wonder...if Iran had honored the NPT commitments....if Iran had ceased...their nuclear enrichment activities if they could have avoided the world condemnation and attacks? Looking back now I guess that Iran building fortified underground nuclear facilities with anti-aircraft batteries might have been a clue that they were not going to be completely open about their nuclear activities and might want to do things there that they knew the international community would not like... We may never know.... Fortunately no one wants war with Iran so it will likely only be a barrage of missiles eviscerating Iran's nuclear facilities with the approval of the world community and a smoking hole where the centrifuges and reactor used to be. Some countries may go so far as to say "We wish this had never happened!" - And they will say it to STING! |

No War. Just illegal Iranian nuclear weapons activities destruction. Great way to ensure nuclear materials/weapons do not fall into the hands of terrorists who mass murder innocent people. |

Less than One-Fifth of All Americans Favor Military or Covert Action Against Iran … Less than Half of Israelis Want to Attack Iran, and 65% Want the Entire Middle East – Including Israel – to be a Nuclear-Free Zone
Posted on February 3, 2012 by WashingtonsBlog American and Israeli Hawks Beat War Drums … But the People Want Peace While the same neoconservatives who pushed the Iraq war are now loudly beating the drums of war against Iran, neither the American or Israeli people want war. A new United Technologies/National Journal “Congressional Connection Poll,” finds that only 13% Americans think the U.S. should “take covert action against Iran such as sabotage and assassination of scientists working on their nuclear program”. Only 17% support “tak[ing] military action against Iran, including bombing weapons facilities inside the country.” And most Israelis are against war with Iran as well. As University of Maryland professor of government, and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, Shibley Telhami and director of the Program on International Policy Attitudes, Steven Kull, note in the New York Times: Despite all the talk of an “existential threat,” less than half of Israelis support a strike on Iran. According to our November poll (.pdf), carried out in cooperation with the Dahaf Institute in Israel, only 43 percent of Israeli Jews support a military strike on Iran — even though 90 percent of them think that Iran will eventually acquire nuclear weapons. Most important, when asked whether it would be better for both Israel and Iran to have the bomb, or for neither to have it, 65 percent of Israeli Jews said neither. And a remarkable 64 percent favored the idea of a nuclear-free zone, even when it was explained that this would mean Israel giving up its nuclear weapons. The Israeli public also seems willing to move away from a secretive nuclear policy toward greater openness about Israel’s nuclear facilities. Sixty percent of respondents favored “a system of full international inspections” of all nuclear facilities, including Israel’s and Iran’s, as a step toward regional disarmament. Given that the elites who profit from war will do their best to try to pretend we must attack Iran to protect ourselves, we must all be wary of a false flag attack against Iran. Indeed, it almost seems as if some have already hinted in that direction. Why of course the people don’t want war … But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship … Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. - Nazi leader Hermann Goering http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2012/02/less-than-one-fifth-of-all-americans-favor-military-or-covert-action-against-iran-less-than-half-of-israelis-want-to-attack-iran-and-65-want-the-entire-middle-east-including-israel-to-be-a-n.html |

Iran Air Flight 655. When The United States killed 290 of Iran civilians. Maybe they have a reason to hate us? I think they hate us more for putting the Shaw in power back in 1953 so we could loot the oil. The 1953 Iranian coup d'état (known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup[3]) was the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh on 19 August 1953, orchestrated by the intelligence agencies of the United Kingdom and the United States under the name TPAJAX Project.[4] The coup saw the transition of Mohammad-Rezā Shāh Pahlavi from a constitutional monarch to an authoritarian one who relied heavily on United States support to hold on to power until his own overthrow in February 1979.[5] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_Iranian_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat Pretty good homework you did on this one here and I could not agree with you more. |
