I have always heard, that the worst thing
about a liar is, they lose the ability to believe ANYthing anyone else says. I can see that. Pathological. They just get used to it, I am guessing. |

I had a girlfriend like that. It was very strange. I have no idea why poeple lie when they don't even have anything to gain by lying.

I dated a woman with this problem.
At first I thought it was just me. That she just didnt believe anything I said. I began to notice that she didnt make eye contact very often when she spoke to me. Then I noticed her around other people, how she didnt make eye contact with them. She didnt believe other people. It seems to be their own little fantacy world. One in which, they have been lying to themselves for so long, it is the only thing they Believe.... Jmo based on experience!! |

I dunno, a compulsive liar will resort to telling lies, no matter the situation. We probably have all lied at some point in our lives to someone and some point, but for the compulsive liar, lying is not an act.. but a part of life. It is a habit they cannot break, because on some level I am not so sure they are even aware they are doing it. Not only do they lie continuously... but the actual truth become difficult for them. Where for many of us, the lie we spit up makes us uncomfortable, for them the reverse is true.
