Yeah my middle name could be different Lynn so people want to call me carolyn I correct them quick. That’s my name...Carolyn. I absolutely hate being called Caroline. I actually thank people that call me Carolyn and not Caroline. It is so annoying I wish I had my middle name because at least then I’d only have to put up with the mispronunciations instead of being called by a name that isn’t mine . |

I like to be unique...and I only got a family name.
So I suppose .... yea, I would like a different one. |

I hated mine as a little kid...all those Wizard of Oz jokes. Named for my biological father in a disfunctional family, I didn't grow any fonder of it as a teen and even my last name was nothing special to me. I often thought I'd rather have my middle name as primary.
Today I'm way past worrying about my name PLUS... now I live in Texas where my name is not that unusual (WOW!) and my married surname has been mine so long in life that it is MINE, regardless of where it came from. Plus I got a nickname for the first time in my life. I just wasn't living in the right place, apparently! |

I love my name as well... A "Rose" by no other name!

I love my name as well... A "Rose" by no other name! Ah another Rose here. Mine was because it was a popular name in Britian but my parents said it was a movie that starred Nelson Eddie as a mountie singing Rose Marie I love you to Jeanette McDonald. |

When I was little, I wanted a "white" name like Carey (after the old Days of Our Live's character) or Jessica; I also wanted long, silky hair that I could tie up and to have the surname Smith.
I'm older now, and I'm prouder of my heritage and I like what my names mean so I'm okay with them now, all of them. |

I like my first name, and where my mother got it from. However, I wouldn't mind not having three middle names. Shortening down to my first middle name would be nice.
