I'm trying to upload a new picture to my profile from my computer and it starts off with the normal screen, but the box disappears and it just has the "upload photo" button. When I press that, it opens my file window and I click on the file, but I get an error message saying the file name is "undefined". What's going on?

What browser and operating system are you guys using?

IE... Windows (sorry not computer savvy) but I loaded some pics from this computer a few days ago and it was fine, then the next day tried again and it will not work. If the browse button does stay, after I get the pic loading, it goes to a screen that says website not available...

OK thanks - do you know if it's Windows XP? We'll take a look and see if we can figure out what's going on...

hey mike, just a quick idea here. do you guys think you can design an html-based image uploader as a back-up plan? like, if you can't upload with our javascript uploader, click here.

Thanks jwaddy for the suggestion. We actually already have an html-based image uploader as a backup. People who don't have javascript enabled should see that version. The issue seems to be something more peculiar.

Our new uploader is flash based. So the people who are having issues have javascript enabled and are getting the flash uploader version of the page, but for some reason are unable to upload pics with it. It's been hard to debug because I can't reproduce it. I think worst case, we'll just back out the flash-based version on Monday and go back to the old html way.

If you have any ideas on what might be wrong though, I'm all ears...

Sorry I haven't had internet all weekend. At school we use Internet Explorer and I'm not sure what brand of Windows it is, but it might be XP. That was where I was having problems. I haven't tried again yet today, but thanks for everything, Mike!

OK we switched back to the old way of uploading photos. Can you all try again and let us know if you're still having any issues? Thanks!

the new html uploader fixed the problem on my mac. i bet it fixed the problems for windows users too.

I can't upload a pic from the floppy drive of my computer to your site i don't get an error message it just freezes and i have to reboot my computer tried three times same resultt
