I've got a ham with pineapple slices and juice in the crockpot. I am making sweet potato fries and green bean casserole to go with it. Baked the pumpkin pie yesterday.

That sounds goooooooood. Is there a lot of prep, or is it just unwrap the ham and open a can of pineapple and done.

What a great meal.

I made a pumpkin cheesecake. eh, kinda bland...I think Im a fruit pie gal. Luckily I had frozen bloooobries and made one. It was dreamy.

Just unwrap the ham and open the can of pineapple. bigsmile The sweet potato fries take more effort but they are worth it.

I LOVE pumpkin cheesecake. And, fruit pies. Come to think of it...there aren't really any desserts I don't like. laugh

bake at three fifty untll cheese is melty.

The peppers are loaded with vitamin C so its a sorta healthy snack if not a pain to make.

I bought crab legs and steaks to cook for New Year's Eve. I've never done the crab legs before so I'm excited about it.

Where did you eat?

Today I put a roast in the crockpot with potatoes and carrots. I just put the whole thing in the fridge because I ended up taking one of my daughters out to dinner. It smelled really good when we got home though.

What should I cook this weekend? It's just me. I'm not sure what sounds good yet.

Hor 'doerve: Bacon wrapped Water Chestnuts (1/2 slice bacon wrapped around a whole water chestnut, microwave until bacon is cooked)

Main course: Spinach Salad (Baby spinach leaves to bite size, hard-boiled egg, bacon pieces, 1/2 Cup MW-warmed Caesar Dressing.)

Cheesey Garlic Baguette: Slice a baguette in half lengthwise..pop under broiler until browned..remove and peel a garlic clove, rub the clove all over the toasted baguette..top with melted butter, parmesan or any cheese you like..pop back under broiler to brown.

Dessert: Baked apple (Core, leaving the bottom still there, add raisins, brown sugar and butter..shake of cinnamon/nutmeg..Bake until done. For kids (me) I add little red peppermint candies to it :-)

Just some ideas, for one or two :-)

Miss Soufie, you rock! I'm definitely doing the apple. flowers

The bacon wrapped water chestnuts sound good, too, but that reminds me of a recipe I wanted to try with dates.

Ooooo you can make SO many things with dates.
Puree'd, they make a great base for cookies,
cakes, anything you want sweet.

The water chestnuts come ready to use in a
can, in water, you can get them sliced or
whole, whole is what works best with the bacon :-)
