Topic: Cameron Scuttles EU Plan To End Sovereignty | |
---|---|
I am not a big fan of the British, but I have to say that I am impressed with a politician that actually listens to his countrymen.
I have been following the debate in England over this EU plan to take more control of the economic and financial sector away from the nation states. It is simply a power grab that is intended to create a United States of Europe with a totally centralized government comprised of no democratically elected leaders calling the shots from Brussels. Cheers to David Cameron.. Britain blocks EU treaty change: As Britain blocks EU treaty changes aimed at resolving the eurozone debt crisis by increasing central control over the tax and spending powers of euro nations, here are the reactions of the main politicians and the financial markets. Prime Minister David Cameron: "What was on offer was not in Britain's interest ... so I didn't sign up to it. Britain's interest in the European Union, keeping markets open, free trade, selling our good and services with rules over which we have a major say, all those things are protected, they don't change. But this new round of integration and special powers and surrenders of sovereignty for European countries and others that what to join the euro, they will be carried on outside the EU treaty. So we will not be presenting this treaty when it is agreed to our Parliament. It will not involve Britain." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financialcrisis/8945579/Britain-blocks-EU-treaty-change-reaction.html |

Xenophobia at it's best
Most of the European Union countries signing up to an agreement where Britain will not be present in the room, despite there being very significant decisions being taken within the room," Then again there is that special relationship with US and Israel |

I'm not really keen on David Cameron but I have to admit I repect him for standing up for the UK ... sure, there isn't some rosy future any time soon but at least we keep our democracy in a healthy state
I'm waiting to see just how this affects our relationship with the rest of Europe... |

Down the road The UK will probably have to enlist the help of the US and Israel to bomb Mainland Europe to stop the German Led Economic Success |

Bombs? Lol, The UK don't need any bombs or allies to cause destruction in Europe, we just need to flood Europe with our drunk tourists and football hooligans ... utter chaos

I took from our previous discussion on the UK moving into the single currency that you are a true believer in the EU model. We will see in a few years who was right and who was wrong. |

Nothing complicated about simple maths One Global Government.... HQ in the middle of Africa One Global Currency....Called....The Global |

Not only do I believe in the EU model I believe in the Global model as long as the resources of the planet are divided equally between the inhabitants of the planet. Nothing complicated about simple maths One Global Government.... HQ in the middle of Africa One Global Currency....Called....The Global It's a nice idea I admit, for everyone to live united and work to support each other. Sadly human nature would never allow this to happen, we are far too tribal ... the only way for humans to truly live equal would be to force them into it which would mean having some people in a position of power ... benevolent tyrants simply do not exsist, or do not at least exsist for long before power corrupts democracy will never be perfect but its the best we got right now |

well sure, democracy could be a whole lot better than it is right now, still democracy is worth fighting and dying for
however, there will always be a pyramid, a few people with power on top and the mjority with less power at the bottom, there is no other way ... what need to be done is to lessen the difference between those at the top and those at the bottom. And this is easier to do if the people at the bottom vote on who gets to be at top ... something that could have been threatened had D.C. not stood against Europe... |

Invert the pyramid...the wealth pyramid |

Gotta go against u on dis one sorry Tom :), i hope to see the day wen the whole Euro.Union collapses and things return to how they were. Don't be sorry Sir Lancelot.... Even though Ireland is paying a price now it is not the European Unions fault. Blame that on the greedy speculators. I believe Ireland is too small to survive alone. Even America is trying to Create the NAU to compete with the EU. If you ain't got clout you will end up with nought. Remember Ireland's low rate of corporate tax enticed big money into Ireland but when the bubble burst the money vanished. That's my view but I have been told many times that I am wrong |

There aren't many that would type that kind of insanity. So it's insane to want equality??? Equality of what? No matter what type of system you dream of there will always be a ruling class. There will always be rich and poor. There will always be corruption. There will always be cronyism. There will always be greed and envy. At least with having the ability of self determination you can choose to replace the most corrupt.. the greediest.. and the envious. Your marxist secular centralized government plan will lead to slaughter on a scale not seen since the last attempt at a totalitarian secular communist regime.. JaJM has it right when he says there are no benevolent dictators.. |

Fair enuf but in the EU we are still small and will never have the same say as Germans and French etc, and as u say the U.S, are tryin dis NAU ting, but will dat lead to a EU/NAU merger in time , and wen all the Unions merge, wat have u then ? I just dont like the direction tings are taking. Its great in Theory, everyting shared equally, but human nature being wat it is . . . . .
