The one thing I've noticed is that a lot of guys mistake being nice for flirtation, and I have to resort to being down-right mean to get my point across... Sadly, it hardly ever works.
A male friend of mine said that they assume I'm playing hard to get, and that irritates me because my no never means yes.

I don't think that's just a guy thing. I've definitely heard about women who mistake friendliness or some flirting as being more and the guys had to be not so nice about getting their point across as well.

Unfortunately, no matter how honest you are, some people just won't listen.

Absolutely true. I'm a very good listener, but eventually I had to learn not to be so good at it, because so many people thought "interested" meant "interested in a different way." Trust me, it doesn't. At least not very often.

Here is my number one way to get them to go away- when they ask you to go back to their place, for coffee or tea or something that is gonna make me have to get up 4-5 times in the night to go to the bathroom, I turn my head slightly look at them (up and down), look away and say "Naw, I'm good"- This usually happens in a car, so you got to either start your car back up or get out of hers. Dollars to donuts, the phone calls will drop off immediately.

That's why I don't have a steady guy. For one, I'm too busy. And two, I'm too tired. And I don't like distractions.
