I actually find em' amusing. I keep a whole record of all the fake e-mails I get. I probably have around 100 saved by now. I get at least one a week......

They use FB chat now cuz' there are less filters....so I get these weird, insistent chat messages all the time. I always save them before I delete them cuz' some are just freakin' hilarious....... Some are actually clever in how they go about it. Others....not so much. Either way....they always give themselves away.

Cool! Post the funny ones! On facebook, if I don't know them, I delete them without reading.

I am more a fake phone call kinda guy myself.

I called my older brother from a pay as you go phone for a few days.

My brother : "Hello"

Me: "This is detective **** ***** from the Denver county police department. I need to speak with **** *** Krupa" (My brother's full name"

I called him four times over three days. Same thing everytime. Finally let him know it was me. His response "Any Denver cop who wants to talk to me is gonna have to drive his @$$ to Iowa."

I could probably post over a hundred of these scam-mails if I hadn't deleted them.

Recently, I have been receiving plenty of the Irina/Irena emails. I keep deleting them, but a new one shows up every couple of days.

I also received the NY traffic ticket one.

I recently opened a thread which contained one of the more recent scam mails I received. The senders address was from the Communist Party newspaper in Vietnam. It was a verified address stating that I was owed $800,000 but had to pay a fee to release the funds.

I also know that an ex-gf's account has been hacked, and is being used to send and reroute spam mail containing links. I've tried to warn her that her account is compromised but she denies it. I even told her how to check to see if her account was hacked rather than have her take my word for it, but she is stubborn. My own account was hacked, and I caught it within the same day because one of the emails rebounded back to my account. Checking the logs, I found that someone had logged into my account from Russia. I promptly re-secured my account, and sent out letters of apology to all my contacts explaining the situation.

Personally, I am sick of the scam mails. If it wasn't such a big headache to do so, I would close my email account and switch to one of my back up accounts. Unfortunately, there is too much linked to that one account. Some of it is fairly important, and I'm sure I will forget to switch something over somewhere. After all, I've been using the same email account for almost 15 years.

I get a lot of these!
