I just like to try everything. Lots of micro brews and local stuff is pretty damned good. I occasionally get some apple or peach moonshine from my Brother in law and it is outstanding. Got a friend who makes phenomenal black cherry beer and apricot wine and abisynth.
Wines...I usually buy the finest box of the cheapest stuff they got. I laughed my head off when I saw at a global Winery tasting that a boxed wine won for its catagory. So did Two Buck Chuck. |

You would be impressed Jack. The guy has such a skill and talent. The moonshine I get twice a year is exceptionally smoothe.
Yep, my friend Lil J is an artisan of the craft. That guy got mad scientist skillz. |

For anyone who likes beer, let me tell you that we are living in The Golden Age Of Beer. When my beer drinking career started back in the 70's, the choices were mainly between light lagers. Bud, Miller High Life and various regional beers like Schmidt's, Schaeffer, Carling Black Label and others. Coors had not made it east yet. Remember Smokey And The Bandit?
There are many good foreign beers, but Americans take pride in the large number of outstanding brews that are crafted right here. A couple of the larger microbrewers are Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada. There are literally thousands more. Right now, you'll find a lot of Oktoberfest offerings as well as a good selection of Pumpkin Ales. I could go on about beer forever. Just be aware that there is a zillion beers out there now and you do not have to limit yourself to a choice between light lagers. When you go into any bar, check out the taps. The bartender will be more than happy to recommend a brew to your liking. Cheers! |

If it is an IPA or extra IPA, I do not really care where it comes from.
