Do they ever catch you off-guard?
I saw an ex in the store today. It's been 3yrs since I've seen him, and it was a sucky breakup. I thought I was totally over him, so was somewhat surprised at the kick in the gut. I actually am over him, (really!) though surprisingly still miss him. Considering he was the one who was married, and that's why we broke up. I've managed not to see him even out and about the local towns in the area. Anyways, it's left me in a bit of a spin. |

ugh that is a major downer. I hate that feeling. Ive lived here since i was 4 so i see people around or people will say, they bumped into so and so and it will be an ex, i'm like always wondering what couldve been or shouldve been or would've been. I guess because i am a dreamer sort. Well you can at least rest with the fact that knowing he was married makes him a pig regardless and even though you might miss the camaraderie with him, you know you were doing yourself a favor when you broke up.

I've had the same kind of thing happen, so I know how it is. Fortunately right now, I don't live anywhere near any exes.

Yeh , sometimes when I listen to a song or go past places where we have done things I have nice memories and really I still love my ex's.
I dont want to be with them, i dont even like what they have become, but i am still in love with the people I originally fell in love with, or thought I was in love wiht.. so when I listen to something or go past something, the nice memories come up and I feel nice.. For me I dont really have a lot of bad memories, not becuase things didnt happen, just because they dont tend to stick in my head like the good ones do. |

When I was 22, my fiance died unexpectedly.
Walking down the street one day, 30 years later, I smelled his aftershave in a crowd. I whirled around spontaneously, looking for him. I knew he was there..somewhere. I cried all day when I realized it could not have been. |

Forgive yourself - allow yourself to reflect over the good times......but ya, if he was married and wouldn't leave her for you (they seldom to never do BTW), then he's not worth it |
