When are dinner parties ever a party? Never, thats when. They are just dinner, and a poncey and pretentious dinner at that.

If i was forced to hold a dinner 'party' for 6 people, it would be for my 3 best mates and their wives, and we would all have much more fun together than any bunch of random famous people.

So what does this tell you about me? That i am a grumpy old bastard?

Well for talking you have a fantastic musician, and two of the greatest leaders in America. Mix that in with representatives of the service because they belong there and conversation can range from lyric meanings to what JFK and MLK saw as the future for our country. Lots of stuff to discuss, even down to life in each service.

lol

u know Obama(i hope)
Maya is a famous poet and she is black
Stevie is a famous lyricist/singer and he is black
Prince is just one of the most uniquely gifted musical artists ever(I could interchange him with MJ) and he is black
Stephen King is a famous horror/suspense novelist and he is white
Malcolm X,, no explanation needed, is also black

so my guest list would be maybe 83 percent black

the reverse of my life in the USA,,lol

I'd invite Hitler, Mugabe, Pol Pot, Kim Jong-Il, Stalin and Jedward.

I would feed them some real nasty deadly stuff.

Jimi would talk about his Vietnam experiences, JFK his PT boat he captained or his children, MLK would talk religion, and the service guys would talk sports.

Hmmm....I would invite:

The krupa, for humor, enlightenment, and joy.
Charles, from here, because he is top b!tch.
John Donne, poet, for serendipity.
Mother Teresa, to feed her a good meal.
Barbra, for the music.
Obama, to watch him spit his food when krupa talks.

the people who really matter to me would be the only ones I'd make dinner for anyway

and dinner would be just fun - nothing pretentious

maybe a seafood boil or burgers

of course bacon
