When you know you have a long week ahead of you, what do you do to get through it?

I've already scheduled happy hour with friends for Friday. That way, there's something to look forward to at the end of the week.

just take it one day at a time. sometimes having something to look forward to makes the time seem to go slower...JMHO

If I know I am facing a tough week (or day,
or month) I make sure I have planned out
meals, sleep and exercise.
The reasoning is, if I keep those items in
good order I have a better shot at adjusting
the bad parts.
A hot shower/bath, an extra one a day
is most relaxing.

You are already ahead of the game if
you know it's coming.

I live each day like my last. A new day is a new opportunity to do stuff.

Hmm. Maybe a relaxing bubble bath is in order to help me get through this week.

Just break out your stash and be mellow in your bubble bath.

Sorry, I don't have any anymore.

I've been working 15-18 hour days for the last 6 months ... it is head down and power through ...

I have started scheduling a 1/2 day at the spa once a month just to keep me going

Sometimes knowing you have a long week ahead, or a difficult task to perform can be intimidating or overwhelming so instead of focusing in on the week as a whole, break it down into smaller parts.

Today, I'm going to do this _____________.

Tomorrow, I'm going to do this __________.

At the end of each day, remind myself of the things I was able to get done instead of dwelling on the things I didn't have time to get done.

By the end of the week, I can look back and *know* I've made some progress.

yup I just take it one day at a time, and try to enjoy the people around me

I have a pretty long commute that I was not too happy about, but in my adaptable fashion - there is a silver lining to the cloud - while I have that commute I use it to listen to music - drink a little coffee and think to mentally adjust to the day and then to decompress on my way home

I had off yesterday and today but am facing 6 nine hour shifts standing on high impact floors. I hurt my back badly at work last week, even with pain pills and anti-inflammatory s everything I do hurts. I am supposed to be on restricted duty, no lifting over 10 pounds, no twisting and avoid stooping, this sounds to me like I won't be able to do my job. I am a cashier at a big box store, 10 pounds is nothing, people load stuff under stuff and under the carts. I have no clue how the managers will accommodate these restrictions, it will be a very long week for me too.

I guess I just do the best I can and be as careful as possible.

i just laugh at the boss and it gets me threw the day
i think i should quit saving his *** and let him eat
his own mistakes. he has more experence than i do and
i had save him from making 4 huge and costly mistakes.
now does that make a long week? and wouldnt you laugh
each day at your boss just to make it threw the day?
