my sons almost 3 he eats no meat. thats beef, chicken, pork, and fish. he also doesnt like eggs.
he drinks lots of milk, eat some peanuts butter. yes ive tryed looking up vegan stuff on internet for kids its all geared to mimic burgers and etc..... which hes not intresed in. any ideas on new recipes? plzzzzzzz |

I think that's great that your son is 'listening' to his little body.
Look more into vegetarian than vegan. Vegan is much more restricted, such as milk would not be part of a vegan diet. i would even try a milk alternative as milk really isn't that good for us. Rice milk, soy milk... As young as he is, you could just start giving him different things and see what he'll eat... rice, potato's, all fruits, all vegies, tofu... tofu can be cooked many different ways and is a really good soy source. peanut butter is a vegetarian staple. I practically live on p b and j sandwichs sorry, don't have any recipe's but i do encourage you to keep trying things, he'll figure out what he needs. And i think it's great your not trying to force him to eat stuff he just doesn't want to eat. |

I have a juicer, I make almond milk.. You can make juices from veggies, fruits..there is sunflower butter, better than peanuts, I think. consistency is a big thing for some children, even some adults. I agree, he is listening to his body. That can be disconcerting for a parent.

yah that's not Vegan but vegetarian.
Vegans consume NO animal products...that milk? animal product..that alone means he's not vegan. vegetarians differ...they consume mostly veggies of course but their consumption of animal products vary person-to-person. Some stay completely away from all meats..some eat fish..some eat eggs..or cheese..etc. either way make sure he's getting what he needs...I've known a lot of vegetarians/vegans that were "sickly" because they didn't get enough of something due to the diet...low protein is the most common. |

have you tried any Morning Star Products..they are really good..you can get meatless lunch meats..veggie corn dogs, chickenless nuggets..etc ..etc ..etc
..although they are geared toward mimicking the real thing; I think they taste nothing like the real thing the flavor is so much better >>they are also high in protein,,..also good is peanut butter and experiment with making your own beans you could also look up tofu recipes there is so much you can do with it |

I know nothing about babies. However, I think his unnatural instinct to avoid meats may be due to something else. I would take the baby to a doctor and make sure there isn't something else working here. Humans crave fat, sweet, and salty.

Seeing a doctor is a good idea, perhaps. It could be as simple as a nutrient the body is trying to find. Eat with your child, play a game, let the child feed you, you feed a morsel to the child. |

his sister wouldnt eat beef, till she was 6.
my boy doesnt care if it looks like the real thing, if it doesnt taste good to him he doesnt eat it. ive taken him to his dr, my daughters omt therapist is more concerned with his weight, his baby sister at a year is 26 pounds and 30 inches tall, he ll be 3 soon and is 37 inches tall and 30 pounds, he takes vitamins and iam starting to experiment with different beans, wheat grains, tofu, but so far iam batting a no hitter. iam getting a referal to a nutritionist as soon as i can. his dr keeps saying as long as hes growing hes fine. |
