It does in a way. At first I was going to pay $125 to Norma but Norma seen what a hardship it would be on me. Until Kathy moves out I will be using Kathy's car until my van is fixed. I don't want it to be a hardship on Kathy to move out. I wanted Norma to know where Kathy is moving to in town. I was talking to my Aunt Bea, yesterday and she knows Norma. Norma just lives down the road across the road from Brother Danny, our pastor. JJ was going to move in at one time in Norma's trailer but backed out. Norma has over a week now sober. Norma likes living by herself. I have finally gotten to that stage myself. It took a while. Lady is constantly with me so it isn't like I am really alone. Lady and aunt Bea got along fine.

It seems to be working out. Kathy is so excited about moving out when she gets her pay check this month. I am so excited about her moving out, too. We went to see the house she will be moving into. It is closed to the store and looks like a good location in town.

I am, too. I really noticed it with a second opinion. Kathy told Norma after Norma asked Kathy if she called on the van. Kathy told her that she thought she was going to do that. Norma told Kathy basically that it was Kathy's car. Kathy was married for 21 years and got used to Norman taking care of stuff. Then the incarceration in prison for nine months. Then living in the back room here going on three years. I think Kathy said it best when she moved in here that the prison did everything for her. I think it like moving out on her own that is exciting for her like when a child moves away from home for the first time. In a lot of ways Kathy is more mature than me but I know I had to learn how to make it on my own after Dottie's passing. I can still remember mom saying after Dottie passed away, "You poor dear. How will you survive?" I told Kathy she needs to have a house warming party. I told her she could have the small bed she has been sleeping in. That will be Dottie's contribution as she used to sleep on it. As soon as Kathy moves out I told her that her room will be a storage closet, again. The room I am in where Dottie was will be the living room and I plan to live mainly in the new room. I will be able to get back to work on the new bathroom and I will try to put a sidewalk along side the house to give it that motel room kind of feeling as I am going to have a side door off the bath room with walkway to the side door of the new room. Of course, it won't be a dog house any more. It will be good to have Kathy's old room for storage to get stuff out of the new room so the new room isn't a storage space. I am exciting about getting back to work on the new room as soon as I can. I have spent a lot of time lately cleaning the fence line of sticker bushes and got scratched a lot from doing so. But Lady enjoyed me being outside with her.

I had a good meeting, Tuesday night. Wednesday, Lady and me enjoyed being outside. This evening, Lady and me just sit down by the fire I had going outside. I just checked on it, again and it is just hot coals now. Lady wanted to play with me while I was raking the sticks to be burned. She grabbed one with her teeth and ran off with it.

The house she wanted someone already got. Another one renters were standing in line for. I was telling her with the high deposits Arkansas expects on utilities she might be better getting a place with all utilities paid. While on the price from the mechanics to get her car out. Paid the other $62.50 to Norma. She likes the all utilities route after looking at some of the dumps some people call houses and trailers. Since she is on a one check per month due to retirement the deal even makes sense to her. Of course, it would be further away from me.

tell her low income houseing they basic it on her income, pay all but eletic and phone, water and trash are payed tell her to check it out..... it would be nice huh

Her record will keep her from a lot of nice deals. I was talking to a CNA at work and she said because of deposits her payment out is like $800 a month. I think Kathy is starting to wake up and smell the coffee.

well wont hurt to ask huh

I told her that she needs to check out this place in Cotter. She was interested in Bull Shoals. Asking won't hurt. I agree. You would think that since she has to see a parole officer the parole officer would have some ideas. It bothers me that she doesn't go to meetings. She told me at one time that she looked at me as her sponsor. But AA tells us that women are to have women sponsors. I can't be her sponsor. All I tried to be to her was a friend. She had no one else who came to get her out of prison. All of her 'so-called' friends weren't there for her but they had some damn good excuses and valid reasons I would say. As my mom used to say, "You made your bed now lie in it."

Kathy is excited about moving to Cotter. Robin moved into the apartments there. She will have someone she knows there. It is walking distance of the liquor store but she isn't an alcoholic. It is an efficiency apartment with all utilities included. Kathy says we can go out to breakfast when she gets her money the 21st on Wednesday at Connies Restaurant in Bull Shoals then go to Cotter to the apartments at Bayham's Liquor.
