I had a wonderful friend here and we have talked for a while but i havent heard from him for a day. When i tried to text him its like his account is deactivated, he didnt even say bye or something now im not sure on how to trust people. We didnt argue or anything like that, what could have happened?

Using the internet and maing friends online is a very wierd feeling. People can come and go whenever they want, and you can never tell what is going on. Chances are your friend had just given up on this website, or something happened that needed him to leave the site. Do not take it personally, if you were his friend then chances are he didn't mean to forget you and just got caught up in the moment. Just move on and enjoy meeting new people instead.

I had the same thing happen to me except i was dating him in person. On Friday ,he said that I was worth the drive to my house and said he missed me, then after that I never heard from him or saw him again. I was heartbroken and blamed my self. But I finally came to the conclusion not to blame myself, I am a good person, that he just was a jerk! Its painful ,but you are a good person and don't let him rent space in your head!

When a scammer or solicitor is caught here on Mingle, the moderators deactivate their profile.
Sometimes a Mingle member will violate Forum rules, and the moderators will punish them by banning them for a length of time. Point is, a number of things could have happened, and none of them have to do with you. Your friend may return, or may not. It depends upon the circumstances. |

Let me ask you something actionlynx, does the picture of that person whose profile has been deactivated stay? Coz i can still see his picture which is making me even more puzzled. Thanx
Not that I have ever experienced. Usually it is a fairly empty screen.
I'll give you a link as an example... http://mingle2.com/user/deactivated/2518512 Click on it. That's what it normally looks like, to my knowledge anyway. This link is actually for a friend of mine that I still talk to from time to time. |

Its kinda the same thing but i was thinking the picture would also disappear from the messages. Thanx again

If you go to his profile it would say it's deactivated, if not its not deactivated. There's all kinds of reasons people disappear online. I wouldn't take it personal if they just fall off the face of the earth for no reason.

Okay. I understand now. You're talking email.
Yes, both the message and the picture remains in your email. In fact, I have such a message right now in mine. The person deactivated fairly recently too. |
Yeah it says its deactivated, but for whatever reason i guess i shouldnt take it personal.
Nope, you shouldn't. I've deactivated my own profile a few times for personal reasons. I keep coming back though.
In fact, the person in my email box that is deactivated, just emailed me offsite tonight. I was actually glad for that. I wanted to say a few things, but thought I lost the chance. Now it's all good. Both of us are happy I got the chance to say what I did. |

Thank you very much for the clarification, i hope i can may be get a chance to talk to him again thats if we were meant to be friends anyway.
