Hi BS Who would judge Roy Beam deem guilty as charged? Judge Roy would have gave both of them a fine and after collecting would have hanged them. Naw, can't let that happen to my friends. Wasn't he crazy?? He was the Law West of the Pecos. He was a crazy old hoot. A very colorful fellow.

No Carol, he wasn't crazy at all...he was the only law West of the Pecos River, and he dealt harshly with most crimes. He was a lonely man, having never married, and saw The Jersey Lilly perform one time & fell madly in love with her..he dies loving only her.

I remember the movie and have read a little about him The movie was all Hollywood Carol. There was few actual facts in the movie. Most of it was myths about him. One fact was when he fined you the fine was whatever you had in your pockets. Vivian knows what she is talking about with the Jersey Lilly. She was the only woman he loved but never met her.

Hello All!!! Good news, back is doing great and I can walk again..... Bad news.....while frying a mega amount of chicken for our picnic, grease got me good. Burned VERY BADLY my right thumb, wrist, and about 7-8 inches up my arm. Should have went to the ER I suppose but I was also making Tater salad, peanutbutter cups, and cherry cheese cake....any who....now I have HUGE blisters and big time owies. Got med and bandages on it now to keep it from getting infected. On a good note....everyone loved the chow Picnic was wonderful and a great time was had by all. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well.

The kids all thought I should have, but I will watch it closely and if it starts to get infected, I will go then. I'm an old toughy
