If I were an extremist, I would see good plots and the potential for evil everywhere. (I've been watching way too many Hollywood drama lately. It's still rosier than watching the news, though.)

I think there can be a balance, between recognizing the evil that surrounds us in this society, but not letting it get us down to the point where we fail to see the beauty that still exists in spite of it.

It's hard though I won't deny that, but I'd want to see the good more than the bad.

yeah, I think balance should be the goal (its mine anyhow)

I think we cant improve things without AKNOWLEDGING they need improving, which is why it seems extreme to only look at good things

I also think we cant truly strive for things to be 'better' if we never take time to appreciate and see what 'better' is, which is why it seems extreme to only look at the bad things,,,


I think most humans fall on one side or another of the median/balance in their views of life and the world,,but fortunately we DO have the opportunity/chance to seek balance instead,,,

I think I go both ways few times, though I hate aggressiveness

I strive for balance, floundering along the way...
...but if I had to choose an extreme, I would choose to see the goodness.

Without that, I would be unable to see hope for a better world. The other extreme would take that hope away.

In my life, hope has been the one thing that always keeps me moving forward, but it has also been the source of much frustration. I will choose hope every time.

I would go with searching for plots and evil,,,
because when I couldn't FIND ANY within someone,,I would know their heart was pure!
To live out the valaint seeing of only goodness and potential everywhere.
Would be lying to one's self of Human Natue in all of us..
BUT,,,I always have been a bit of a backards thinker,,first?

God is able to balance us out

as we grow in our walk with Him.

Being balanced is not the option here. It's not realistic; but it is interesting to read the comments . I'm an eternal optomistic. I try to see the good in everything. Sometimes it's hard and sometimes there is only a 'shred'. And yet, sometimes there is only evil...that's when I walk away and pray for the good to shine through Or I try to make a difference. I believe a human can strive and reach that degree where they only see good. That is what Jesus taught and what God wants us to strive for. Some say you have to experience the 'bad' to know what the 'good' is. I don't think that's true. If all we know is love and kindness, then evil disappears. We don't question...we don't care about another side...that's Heaven .
