Man smiling. Man not smiling. The first guy, smiling .... my impression is that he is beautiful.. and probably GAY. (Damn) He is so pretty he would turn another guy on. The second guy is a joke, so I will find some sexy guys who are not smiling.... Stay tuned.... |
|

The first guy smiling will go both ways. The second guy smiling is sexy and strait. The third guy, well, he could be gay. |

These non smiling dudes are 'sexy' but there is no telling if they are strait or gay. |

What I find funny is that it the study was done by a woman and the article was written by a woman, but the women who have posted, and naturally being on this site look at pictures of men often, disagree with the article/study. I really think you are looking too far into it though. It's only talking about physical attractivness, not personality type or a general additude. It simply says if you look at a picture of a man you dont know, you will find the one of him smiling less atractive than one where he is not. Lookin4home, the pictures I posted was a joke. Truth is, there would be guys smiling and guys not smiling that I wouldn't like (at least, physically). It's not about the smile or the absence of it that catches my eye, but the overall impression I get when I first take a look. Don't rely on studies or the personal opinions of others when it comes to choosing what you want to be seen of yours. Take suggestions, sure, but decide on what to upload on your own. Do what makes you happy or comfortable. :) |

No way, I'd much rather see some smiles.

If I look through profiles, I am not going to automatically like the guys who don't smile more. It will of course depend on the person and the pictures he puts up. |

Well it looks like that research shows that it does matter, the numbers don't lie. One factor they are leaving out that may explain why some of you are disagreeing with this could be the age, the younger they are, the more likely they are to fall for the bad boy. After a certain age they ignore bad boys (usually). The OP stated the average age for the women was 21! Go figure |
