Hey Obama was a wordsmith and see where he got us? Tell it like it is, don't be afraid to offend and stick to your guns. I would love to have a non politician as president. Its something different and I think our country needs a new direction. I would be willing to give him a shot. I would prefer someone with experience and knowledge in how GOVERNMENT runs,,,either through their education or experience I would also prefer someone who represents the most ADMIRABLE of us to the world, as it is he that will represent AMERICANS to the world the only thing admirable about Trump that I have seen is his money, and he was born into that,,, |

Our ambassadors job is to represent us. The presidents job is to run the country. I want someone who isn't from a political family and more worried about keeping his family in good political circles. That is what is running this country into the ground.

That is what is running this country into the ground. so why do you think so many more people around the world know our president when they see him than know our 'ambassador'? the president has to 'run' the country while dealing with other WORLD LEADERS (world leaders deal often with other world leaders, as opposed to mere 'ambassadors'), which means he is the most visible represenative of america to the WORLD and should carry himself as such |

I don't really care if we look good doing something or not. We are a laughing stock right now. My friends in Belgium always have a good laugh at the Americans and our politics. I say stop ***** footing around and walking on glass because we may offend someone and let's turn this economy around.

My friends in Belgium always have a good laugh at the Americans and our politics Yes, Belgium has a pretty high marginal tax rate. It's no wonder that all of Europe considers America to be a laughing stock.

Just a few of our customs, girls not being able to sunbathe topless without causing a riot of pervs and I won't even talk about the other things out of respect to you.
On your company analogy, things function internally MUCH different when people are trying to save a company from sinking. Formalities and little curtsies go by the wayside in times of desperation. |

Because it seems to me just as easily as it was for people to assume the president was 'weak' for respecting the cultures of those he visited it would be easy for people to assume a president had LOST Their composure and objectivity if they just threw tantrums because things had gotten 'desperate' I understand a certain leeway being given INTERNALLY(when the president deals with those close to him), but I doubt it would fly EXTERNALLY(when the president is dealing with other leaders and governments) |

Do I blame the president, no not solely, Washington has always been a place of "back scratching ethics." I'm saying that it's time to usher in new blood. A person who won't be swayed by monetary offers because they don't need it. I'm not saying it is Trump, but so far he is the only one who's stepped forward. Heck, this is probably all a marketing ploy anyhow. But maybe another person with business savvy will step up. Because in my mind, what this country needs right now is something much like a concrete business plan. A plan that will have us generating revenue in a few years and not adding debt. |

Yet we have a VP who drops the F-bomb. Is that ok? He is second in command.
And I can just imagine how Obama looks in the eyes of the world after he gave the press conference about his birth cirtificate. Saying we need to stop the sillyness. We have more omportant things to do, I have more important things to do. Then goes on Oprah and jokes around about it. Yeah that's real important! Who cares if someone drops an F-bomb. You think people in other countries don't do it? As for someone having experiance in how government works. Really? Our government has been working really great for us in my 39 years on this planet. I've lived in the same neighborhood for 30 years and haven't anything getting better, just worse. Which makes me wonder how we still fall prey to what these politicians say. If you think they are doing this for us I have a bridge for sale. I wont get behind a candidate yet it's way to early. But Trump is saying what the people want to hear. |
