Congrats Lex!!!! TXGAL...I so love my happy doggies! I've had the back door open all day and been lying on the bed reading & every now & then one of them runs in to give momma luvin' and then heads back outside to play..LOL :)) Today I rode my gelding bareback for the first time :) He did very well! And I cooked for myself...fried rice with venison...yum! It's been an exciting week too. I gave a talk & made a poster about my research and was inducted into an agricultural honor society :) My boss is very proud! Congrats girl sounds like you have had a great day.... It has been over 7 years since I had my horses and have not rode since I do so miss riding and the feeling it gives you....

I rode a horse once, and I don't see it happening again. They are really huge in person, and a lot wider than you realize, until you try to ride one. lol
|

I rode a horse once, and I don't see it happening again. They are really huge in person, and a lot wider than you realize, until you try to ride one. lol Lol well I had horses for 17 years....rode drill team for 7. Horses are beautiful animals they are something that one has to really love being around and get comfortable around in order not to be scared of them.

yeah I was starting to feel a little down & crappy before I rode too, but came back with a feeling of pure happiness :) It's so amazing how a few moments of riding can change your whole perspective. This horse use to act up so much I wouldn't dare riding bareback & after only a handful of training sessions here we are!!! I think he really recognized the connection between us when I was on him today & is starting to realize what his job is :) |

LOL Totage...I know a guy that is so scared of them he won't even come to my house anymore... 
Riding is such a sense of freedom and a connection with nature that can not be duplicated, especially when you are on a good horse!!! |

There's Amish near me, lots of horses, cows, even an alpaca farm not far from me. My grandma has had sheep, a pony, a donkey, lambs, and other animals. I enjoy the country side, and nature a lot. My favorite place is the ocean and beach though.

It is. It's also nice when the dolphins come to visit. They're fun to watch.

What was your happiest moment today? Despite the day you may have had, even if it was your worst day ever, what was your single happiest moment? Oddly, mine was a simple smile from a stranger. It was warm, random, simple, and seemily sincere. What more could you ask for from just one moment of happiness? Seeing tons of mids outside when I got home tonight. Gotta love men in uniform.

Hummm walking in the door after getting off work and watching my dogs jumping around from being so happy to see me....  Sure for them it was getting to go outside
I don't have my own dogs, but I visited my parents today and their dogs were extremely happy to see me. They're so cute when they're like that. |
