First job was working in the kitchen in a nursing home. Hated it and quit after a few days.
Current job is a secretary in a library. I like making money. And that's all I have to say about that. |

First job: I worked on a large horse farm, doing the water for all the horses. It gave me a small pay check and took some off board for my own horse.
Current job: Project coordinator for a telecommunications company. It's eh. At least it's a job. |

I did lots of mechanic work with my dad as a teenager. I took my first official job at a gas station at age 18. I've also taken several "under the table" jobs including DirectTV installer, mechanic, and helper at a local bar. I then worked in agricultural recieving for a peanut processing plant. I was temporarily laid off from there when I was accepted to college upstate. I moved and now I am a supervisor at Wal-Mart.

I feel the same way, not to thrilled with my job but at least I have something. However, I'm the type of person who takes pride in my work whatever it is, so that keeps me going :)

They're a great company to work for but the daily routine is getting extremely redundant and monotonous.

First paying job was with the local community channel. It was cool - I got to learn about filming, editing, voiceover and broadcasting first hand.
Current job is as the Director of Customer Care for a custom home builder. I do the warm fuzzy stuff ensuring a stellar customer experience and manage the warranty department. I love it - these houses are amazing! |

My first job was at 18 after graduation. My parents said, "car or party?" I opted for the car so I could get a job . I was a Receptionist/clerk for a Nursery. I had to learn 15,000 varieties of the plant and tree world <lol>. My head was swimming most days. My second job was a switchboard operator for the American Red Cross. Awesome job! I loved it. My switchboard actually looked like this one.
Lately <the last 25 years> I've been driving a school bus and just recently obtained my CNA & HHA Certifications in case the bottom drops out of the bussing. Here's my bus... |

First job was baby sitting, I was 12-13. My 16th summer I was a live in babysitter for two couples who shared a huge house, I took care of 6 children under the age of 6. My first 'real' job was as a landscape teacher for challenged adults, loved that one! Primarily I have been a care giver in the private sector. Now I work as a cashier for Home Depot, enjoying it so far but sure do hope my new shoes help my poor devastated feet!! I was off yesterday and today and my feet still hurt. Monday they were so bad I was allowed to sit for awhile as long as I did my job.

My first job, besides babysitting, was at Burger King. Now I work as a civilian Crime Prevention Officer. I would rather be a millionaire, but until then, I very much enjoy my job. Mostly I teach. And that's a good feeling.

Mine was working for Union Pacific. Clearing brush and digging ditches along the right-of-way. There were 10 of us living in a bunk car on a siding. I started as a pudgy, out-of-shape 19 year old. Ended up in amazing shape. I was so buff!
