I agree with Buttons and Creationsfire, in the first place if your going on the inernet and you do not want a LDR make it very clear from the start and stick to your guns. Then it will not give the other person a chance to be in that situation. If your gonna play the game of internet Love have your desires and wants figured out before you jump into talking to others for if they live a distance stop it from the start if you are so set on those rules. Don't let it get to the point your heart is involved and now pull back its not right.

If she thinks she cares, why can't she meet him? How about he pays for his way there and she lets him sleep on the couch? If she is convinced that she has feelings for him, don't you all think that they should meet?
I met someone from here...he paid to fly here and I allowed him to sleep at my home. I did cook him supper one night and then the other night he took my family out for supper. There are so many ways of working things out.
I am far from rich, but I could afford a vacation from time to time. You don't have to have lots of money if both of you plan it out and work together.

If you should find that things have changed once your heart is involved, unfortuneatly I have learned from hard cold expeirience, to talk it out and make a decision. TXS, there are times when mistakes are made in the throws of passion, be it in person or the internet. If not mistakes then misunderstandings. All Im saying is that once it be known, make a decision and like you said, stick to it. I have already stated that it should be kept to themselves and or close friends. Also learned from hard cold experience that making private things public has a way of coming back to bite you in the ass.

Girl your so right things should be keep private between the two and no one can work those problems out but the two involved and it depends how far each is willing to give. If she is not willing to give then sorry he should say his peace to her let his feelings be known and back off.

But if both want to meet but scared hey you never know till you meet you could click all the way on the phone on Im and cam and then meet in person and find out those same feelings are not threre it happens all the time. But the two mus make up there mind how far are they willing to give to see. As they say were there is a will there is a way.

i think its worth it.. especially if you've found your soulmate. who knows, maybe one day that LDR wont be so far away i live in ga.. and i had a ldr for three years with someone in conn.. yeah its worth it when you really love someone.. cheer take care

even if you could afford it and would do anything...how can you tell if that person is the "one" without getting to know him/her first? from experience- talking on the telephone and online does not tell you this at all.
