i did notice that barry never said anything about the Libyan rebels in his speech... i wonder why?

Because he doesn't know who they are or what they might represent.

Last night one local news Obama was criticized by both Republican and Democrats. The Reps complained about going to war before making a case for going to war. The dems for not having an exit strategy (sound familiar?) and claiming the war is not to get rid of Qaddafi (If not to rid the world of him then what?).

There actually more agreement between the two than disagreement. Both agreed that you don't tell the enemy what you are going to do or he will just wait you out. They also agreed that ground troops were the only way to rid Libya of Qaddafi so we either had to arm the rebels or send NATO/UN troops which mostly happen to be US troops. They also agreed that the whole thing about turning the job over to the UN was mute since the commanders were US.

The news this morning was that Obama is already reconsidering sending in ground troops.
