What the kid did still wasn't right, but the bully will think twice before picking on someone again. I can only imagine the torment the big kid had been through before that. The fact that it was on film could have been a part of the bullying. My daughter was beat by a girl while a guy filmed it and the whole time they told her it was going on youtube. It was a part of the "game". It's not cool.

What that kid did was exactally right (if all the information surrounding the incident was correct).
He used force necessary to stop the attack, backed away and left as soon as he realized the attack HAD stopped. He was in a situation with NO escape route. His back was to a wall. There were people to his left and people to his right. What else was he supposed to do? Let the other kid keep bouncing around and hitting him? What would YOU have done. |

I agree he used only what was necessary. He didn't continue to fight once the bully was down
