I missed the part where anyone called him a hero. I dont consider him a hero or a demon. I consider him someone who voiced his opinion in a rather diplomatic and generalized way but had to suffer the consequence of what it meant to his professional contract.

I have no issue with muslims.. I find that I have far more in common with them than with the white leftist clowns like this idiot from NPR..

I didn't watch the whole thing, but I did scroll through the subtitles (I'm too busy to watch now). I didn't see anything about Israel at all. Even if he did, having an opinion about Israel does not necessarily correlate to having an opinion about Jews. There are in fact numerous Jews who oppose Israel.

Midway in the interview he mentions how Jews run everything behind the scenes in Finance. He also makes a political statement about Israel and Palestine.

He also BLATANTLY mentions "White" Corporations running everything. Looks to me like people are only seeing and hearing what they WANT to here.

OK. I hadn't intended to waste my time watching the video, but I figured I should. I didn't hear and see a single thing that Shiller and his assistant said that was in any way wrong. I saw some printed comment and heard what some diembodied voice was saying, but I have no idea where or when that was recorded. I noticed that, when the disembodied voice asked about Shiller's view on Egypt, what we heard from Shiller had nothing to do with the Egypt situation. Okeefe has a reputation for fancy editing. Why would we take anything in this video seriously?

According to NBC news last night, everybody is taking this video seriously and the consensus is that NPR's actions are reprehensible.

In spite of the "liberal spin" on this thread, there is going to be serious fallout for NPR.

OK, lets put this into perspective. Who carries the load of responsibility? The man acting on his own or the man acting on behalf of a group or organization? Now if the man working for an organization is a person of command that organization means that person sets the tone for the organization.

It is one thing to have a liberal bend and belief and to claim that you (referring to that organization) claims to be fair and balanced BUT behind the scenes takes a side complete to the left OR right means that organization is tainted in their centrism towards the left or right.

We are talking about the man in charge or at least the one who wears the largest set of head feathers in their tribe.

Fair and balanced is not taking sides. Fair and balanced is not harboring resentment towards the GOP or DNC. Fair and Balanced is not, IS NOT pretending to be unbiased yet being biased "off camera." When an organization seeks money from strictly Liberal causes, or takes money willingly from a group (and the real "Islamic Brotherhood" is an organization under close scrutiny right now for direct ties to terrorism abroad) of QUESTIONABLE intent and means and will willingly promote beliefs and ideals and foreign laws that are totally and wholly unconstitutional makes NPR a despicable organization! These are the same people running our country the way NPR acts. They seem to mirror our public officials in scary ways.

Sorry but the woman with MISTER Schiller didn't seem to correct her boy's choice of words. And Mister Schiller speaking "Off the Record" (cough cough) sure sounds like he harbors some deep resentment. Gun Toting Whites? What did he mean by that exactly?

The fact is that at least I know what will not work and I also can smell BS from a mile away. NPR smells worst than the 5 miles of Coalinga driving on I-5 in sunny California. When they clean up their act I will not despise them but for now they lost my respect having people like Mr. Schiller among them! If they had ANY pride in themselves they would make him quit or fire him. That I would find respectable!

there is no evidence that he neglects either SIDE of the debate as NPR consistently has representatives from AT least two sides of any issue

and the fact that he is immediately stepping down, lends to NPRS credibility more than it takes from it

no organization can pretend to know the PERSONAL and PRIVATE thoughts and opinions of their employees and to expect them to is about the biggest infringement on privacy I can think of

if he does his job, WITHOUT neglecting his personal contract with his employer, than HE should be held accountable for THAT, not what he happens to believe or not believe

didnt a certain politician say 'I dont agree with what you say but defend to the death your right to say it?' what happened to defending peoples right to their personal beliefs and judging them on their JOB performance and treatment of others


I guess that standard should make us untrusting of police as well, cause there are plenty of those who slip up and disclose some pretty Jacked up personal beliefs

or we should not trust politicians, because some of them do the same
