Topic: Do men act differently towards blonds? | |
---|---|
They do prefer Asian but I was told it is because "Oriental is FURNITURE.....PEOPLE ARE ASIAN!!!!" (This was told to me by the person whom the 58 yr old Chinese female co-worker, screamed at.) lol.........Everyone has their own thing maybe blondes are just liked more. It's not that way in my case I'm more in to brunettes. |

I prefer red heads. i prefer natural blonde oriental women FYI Oriental is a racist term, they prefer 'asian'. I think the bleach blond asian has that 'sexy/slutty' look going for them. They do prefer Asian but I was told it is because "Oriental is FURNITURE.....PEOPLE ARE ASIAN!!!!" (This was told to me by the person whom the 58 yr old Chinese female co-worker, screamed at.) You are right, but I was told by my Chinese cooking teacher that it is offensive. Also, have you ever asked a asian person from another eastern country if they are Chinese. DO NOT DO IT. They go off like a Roman Candle, its like I called them 'Chink or Charlie'. One lady yelled at me "I no Chinese! I from Thailand"! Man she was madder than a wet hen. |

Don't worry about it, sometimes even we can't tell. I guess some are just very sensitive about their origins. "Asian is now strongly preferred in place of Oriental for persons native to Asia or descended from an Asian people. The usual objection to Oriental, meaning "eastern", is that it identifies Asian countries and peoples in terms of their location relative to Europe. However, this objection is not generally made of other Eurocentric terms such as Near and Middle Eastern. The real problem with Oriental is more likely its connotations stemming from an earlier era when Europeans viewed the regions east of the Mediterranean as exotic lands full of romance and intrigue, the home of despotic empires and inscrutable customs. At the least these associations can give Oriental a dated feel, and as a noun in contemporary contexts (as in the first Oriental to be elected from the district) it is now widely taken to be offensive. However, Oriental should not be thought of as an ethnic slur to be avoided in all situations. As with Asiatic, its use other than as an ethnonym, in phrases such as Oriental cuisine or Oriental medicine, is not usually considered objectionable." |

I'm not sure that this throws much light on the subject.
The political correctness of the term ?Oriental? depends on where you
are from and to whom you are speaking. Here in North America it is considered to be offensive. In Europe and in parts of Asia it is acceptable and in common usage. One reason for its perceived offensiveness has to do with the meaning of the root word, Orient. This term is derived from the Latin word oriens, referring to where the sun rises in the east. Since oriental is used to describe places (and people) that are to the East only in relation to Europe, the term is considered by some to be Eurocentric. But more likely, the real issue is its connotations stemming from the times when Europeans viewed the Orient as ?exotic lands full of romance and intrigue, the home of despotic empires and inscrutable customs. At the least these associations can give Oriental a dated feel, and as a noun in contemporary contexts ? it is now widely taken to be offensive.? http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/545754.html |

A natural blond or red head is super hot .. (and usually unavailable) Bleach blonds are a dime a dozen ..... ((( BORING ))) |

I bleached my hair blond once long time ago. I kept it blond for two weeks. I had been brunette all my life. WOW you would not believe the difference. I was approached by so many men wanting to get laid! In the reverse, my sister who was a blond, dyed her hair brown. She said she couldn't stand it because she felt "invisible." Men just passed her by. Men in general, in a dating environment, think blonds are easy. That is the conclusion. Now for the men: What are your impressions and reactions towards a blond as compared to a brunette? Be honest. You have to explain things differently to a blond. It takes a while for them to get what your saying or understand. |

It takes a while for them to get what your saying or understand. Then I should bleach my hair so maybe I would understand what men are trying to say. Maybe they would keep it simple. |
