Mine's a toss up - guilt / insecurity I've never had a lot of confidence and I feel guilty about almost everything - My feeling is insecurities follow most of us all our lives with too many to mention. But they fade away as time goes on. Each time you overcome one, you get to look back and gain courage to hurdle the next one. It's a beautiful sight/feeling. Then someday you ask yourself "who is this person me?"...and you know. Feeling bad about the things we have done means that we have a reverance for the good/right things to do. We are all human and will not be perfect until God decides to take us to sit next to him in heaven. "I'm sorry" and "I love you" are the sweetest words in the vocabulary .

Very sadly family and friends will live their lives through your life. They don't know when to cut the strings and let the kite fly on it's own. They somehow feel "superior" because their child is a Dentist or a Surgeon...even if their child's "happy" state stinks. For me, I just want my children to be happy. I want to be a shoulder for them to cry or lean on when they need me. I want to be the shelter for them when they fall and be there holding the cane when they get back up. I won't be on this earth for too much longer; so my job now is to get/keep them close to God. |
