what do you think of the following kinds of music? Feel free to add any that I miss:
Glenn Miller, Spike Jones, John Phillips Souza, Patsy Kline, Kurt Weill, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gilbert and Sullivan. Woody Guthrie, Yma Sumac, That's just a beginning. Each one of these is a type of music that, at one time, I never thought I would appreciate. There are many more that don't come to mind right now. |

I can't stand to hear Spike Jones sing but I love to hear him talk. I'll add a few. Ray Charles, Nirvana, Deep Purple, Stray Cats (Brian Setzer)............
Great additions! I still don't care for Nirvana, but who knows? Maybe if I take the time.

Nicccccce! If I could only dance. Let's face it. You have to be either gay of hispanic to be a guy who can dance. (Well, I guess I should include afro-Americans). White heterosexuals are fine in tractor pulling competitions.

We need some nasty ol psychobilly...Reverend Horton Heat, Derailers, The Distillers, The Head Cat |

Reverened Horton Heat is a good one.......
As far as the dancing. That's not true. I am not gay or hispanic. You put on Busta Move and I would make James Brown look like a white boy at the prom......... |

Just give me alternative anything and I'm a happy girl! You don't like anything mainstream? No Beatles? No Karen Carpenter?
Ya know what I really enjoy? Those half hour infomercials (Time-Life maybe) that want to sell us collections of 'Hit's from the '70s, or Love-songs from the 60s, complete with videos of the groups. I'm happy to forego CSI to watch those.

What? No Zamfir? I am astonished!
I like Zamfir, but I don't think he;s exceptional. The best harp music is from the french genre of rhe Romantic period. I haven't heard a modern artist who has made a decent foray into the contemporary era.

Just give me alternative anything and I'm a happy girl! I would like to know more. I'm really terrible at seeking out new music. What are your top 5 favorite alternate musics?

I don't have any to contribute to the list, but I have a few to add to my own list. lol! I love hearing about new sounds.
