he President ordered the cabinet to cut a whopping $100 million from the $3.5 trillion federal budget!

I'm so impressed by this sacrifice that I have decided to do the same thing with my personal budget. I spend about $2000 a month on groceries, medicine, bills, etc, but it's time to get out the budget cutting ax, go line by line through my expenses, and go to work.

I'm going to cut my spending at exactly the same ratio -1/35,000 of my total budget. After doing the math, it looks like instead of spending $2000 a month; I'm going to have to cut that number by six cents!

Yes, I'm going to have to get by with $1999.94, but that's what sacrifice is all about. I'll just have to do without some things, that are, frankly, luxuries.

one of MANY proposed cuts, which will not all be released for quite a while

but every large amount starts with the first steps,,,,

more similar to cutting out that candy bar and building up to cutting down on the number of cars in the yard,,,,

I will be impressed when the cuts exceed 10 Billion. Until then the math don't add up to anything. Fractional and sub fractional cuts are meaningless.

Oh I got a better idea lets invade another country and after we spend hundreds of billions killing hundreds of thousands of people with the only tangible results being more anti americanism, we will cut unemplyoment compensation!

If you want to see Anti-Americanism, you only have to look as far as DC.

Unfortunately the small cuts should have started 10 or 12 years ago.
We are past the point where small cuts would work.

But like a fat man needing a diet we continue to cut out the candy bar...

While eating everything that appears on the table.
