well as a rule i usually don't talk about a ex unless asked.not the best thing to do with a new lady. makes it seem that your not over her and still dwelling on the past instead of looking to make a new future.

Reminds me of the guy who's wife went missing while they where on vacation. He had a phone call from the local coastguard to say that they had found his wife she was floating in the bay and that when found, she had 6 lobsters hanging from her. The coastguard asked him what they should do.

Its hard not to talk about my ex almost any story about me in the last 5 years involves her being there and the fact that I live with her.

And as far as comparing goes, I find its the women that start comparing themselves to the ex not me. Id prefer someone completely different, then a relationship might actually last...
