Actually, yeah, most places will allow you to return a fish, especially if it is within 24 hours.
Fish are surprisingly fragile critters. they don't take well to being moved, and it doesn't take a lot to shock one enough to kill it. I'v done a decent amount of research on fish keeping, if you want help/advice send me a message. I'll see if I can help you get the next one to live longer :) |

I mean, mercury poisoning could result in serious shedding of skin and Kawasaki's disease! Is that what you want for some poor, defenseless Chicago rodent? And if the rodent gets eaten first, the biomagnification would cause so many problems that it might even poison a human in the long run!
...Just sayin'. |

I had a goldfish once.
You know the ones you win at the fair by throwing a ping pong ball in the bowl. My cousin won it and had to carry it around all day, kept passing it off to someone else who then 'owned it' if they carried it. I ended up carrying it at the end of the day. I brought it home, Dad put it out in the stock tank that the horses drink out of -- Charlie lived for YEARS. Got HUGE. Ended up being one of Dad's favorite pets. |
