Topic: are you a single Parent? | |
---|---|
I am a single mom too! Im not going to say that it has been easy, but I feel that God trusted me enough to give me three beautiful children that he didn't trust anyone else with. What I have learned and the experiences I have had, I would not trade for anything! While I was teaching them, they were also teaching me kindness, patience and how to love bigger than I ever thought possible. I love my babies!!! Jason age 19, Kaylee age 14 and Briana age 4. Debra Girl you look way to young for a 19 year old....I hope im that lucky. i have been told the same thing in fact many have thought my daughter and i wee sisters not mother and daughter.....lol |

I am a newly single male patent of one 2 year old girl and one 3 year old boy. My hats off to all those single parents and the tough times, giving things up, and the lack of sleep for the kids. I dont have time for myself, but when I see my kids eyes, its worth this adventure many times over. I feel in order for me to even find someone new, it will be a total accedent. Here to a long adventure and an education you cant get in any school. Advise is always welcomed! Try to afford a babysitter so you can date and hopefully meet someone. I didn't try and I regret it for myself. It has been 28 yrs since I had a partner (raising them and getting them stable, then getting sick and not able to "play" ). |

it is hard being a single parent, but i love every bit of it, i raised 7 kids on my own. Three have flown the nest with four still to go but not for along time yet cause she is only 9 years old, we all have had our share of ups n down alot of tears but that came from me teaching them to be honest always... Now i have three grandchildren and looking forward to retiring in 9 years and a well deserved holiday the kids saving up for.... I think my oldest called it a getaway resort for old people.... Lol

but as a single mum i would like to say and tip my hat to all the single dad's out in the world. I do know how hard it was for them to have recognition of their job and fight for the rights to be able to use the facilities for change rooms... To all u single dad's out there yr are all amazing men...:-) :-)

I don't know why everyone complains that the single parent life is so tough. I find it pretty simple. You have no one to argue with, there is no "well mommy said" bull spit, I rather enjoy it.

well for some of us it is hard when there is more then one or two. And i found it simple without their fathers around cause they were worse then the kids so yes u r right about not having the kids to play one parent better then the other, but for me it was hard to pick myself up at times due too losing a child cause of my ex beating me up..... But now all that is in the past, i have done well with my 7 kids.

even though that the thought of death penalty sounds ideal but against the law here in australia. Even time in prison is short, but none of it would help with the scar that is left on the mind or heart, except to leave and find a new way to heal. It been 21 years now, have healed to where i can cope and learn to love again and fill that void....

I am a single mom for 11 years now, God has brought me through so any tough times, there are times when i feel like I cant do it by myself anymore, but God is always there to provide for me, some how God always makes a way,the teen years are coming, and i think it will be alot harder, it is hard now because his dad dosent have much to do with him, he pays child support, but thats it, he doesn't call him, or make a big effort to spend time with him, but he also lives out of the state, but my son wants a "stepdad" because he hasn't had a father figure to spend time with him, and i have been hurt and lied to and everything else in the past, I am a single mom until God sends me the right someone that has the same family values, and honesty trust and respect, and God knows who that is, I am just trying to hang in there by the Grace of God, because I work and it's just me and him, there is no one close I can trust or rely on except for God, He is the only reason, next to my son that I am still able to keep going.

yeah single parenting is tough, its not impossible but its brutal at times. I have the most amazing kids ever and they are really well behaved, have really warm hearts an give me pretty much no problems and its still tough.
But its worth it....our kids need us :) |

well thanks for the heart, myself i have 3yr old man and i must tell u it is not really a big deal. it is diffcult and hard if the single parent is as a result of death but if it by choice or legal i dnt see it as much problem.babies are gift from God and we must do all it take to give them all the supprt they need. i ve lots of respect for single moms and i always pray for God support for them.

Being a parent to me is a blessing and something I've wanted since the late 80s. The only tough part at this point is when my baby whines 'mom' and knows what it means at less than 5 months old. I sign back and say 'no mom, just dad'.

I'm a single parent of three they are now 19,20 21. Only my youngest is still at home but he is quickly becoming very self sufficient. I figure he will be wanting his own place around Feb of next year when our least is up. Its amazing to see them grow and mature. For me the hardest part is allowing them to man's choices that I feel are mistakes so that they can learn and grow.

I am a single parent by choice rather than because I got a divorce or left a relationship. A little over nine years ago my twin sister passed away leaving behind her children. I did not take all of her children however I took one of her children. My son is nine and a half now and he sees his siblings often. I opted to take him because he needed atleast a mother and at the time he lacked either a mother or a father so even though being a single parent is the world's most difficult job it is also the most important job in the world.

I give a lot of credit to people who step up and family when needed. I know for a fact that I would not have been near the person I turned out to be without the family that helped me. Loss of a parent is terrible but the absence of family that is left is a holocost that few people really comprehend.
