Someone said it is based on the year you are born. If you are born a certain year, the old signs apply to you. Shrugs I'm not gonna stress over this...I'm still calling myself a Gemini.

For sidereal astrology yes.. but most astrologers and astronomers alike have known and agreed upon this occurrence (ya know the wiggle of the earth that throws off the understood alignment with the astrological constellations) there were initially 18 agreed upon signs associated with the constellations and then it was narrowed down...the 13th or "lost" sign only lasted nineteen days and was debunked by astronomers in the western branch because they go off of the sun's position in relation to the earth....instead of the stars.....ya know the sun sign thing...... but "oh the times they are a changing.."

I heard the new signs within a certain century is affected like 2000 onward Im not sure its really confusing. I feel that the "OLD' virgo/libra cusp personality suits me just fine and the horoscopes fit better too
