Topic: On going Poll. | |
---|---|
This time the exact question asked and more than 675 people polled!
Sarah Palin said the responsibility for the Arizona shootings rests solely with the alleged shooter and blamed "journalists and pundits" for manufacturing a “blood libel” by blaming it on political rhetoric. Do you agree? YouYes -- There is no evidence that the accused shooter had any political motives and blaming his actions on words used by Palin and others is a way to score political points. No - Regardless of the motive involved, political rhetoric has become too destructive in recent years and the use of a term like “blood libel” only makes it worse. I’m not sure -- Our national leaders do need to be more careful about the words they use but it’s also unfair to single out certain individuals for statements or imagery that are also used by others. Results of 157,532 votes with 3,990 comments 34% Yes -- There is no evidence that the accused shooter had any political motives and blaming his actions on words used by Palin and others is a way to score political points.54,050 votes 61% No - Regardless of the motive involved, political rhetoric has become too destructive in recent years and the use of a term like “blood libel” only makes it worse.96,084 votes 5% I’m not sure -- Our national leaders do need to be more careful about the words they use but it’s also unfair to single out certain individuals for statements or imagery that are also used by others.7,398 votes http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41036993/ns/politics-more_politics |

We have been subjected to the hatemongering and fearmongering for so damn long, well since Obama started campaigning, how could we not all see the connection?
And we have all seen the unbalanced come out in droves because of Obama and all the hatemongering and fearmongering. I have actually seen those I thought to be mentally competent go completely outer space on me because a black man was going to be president. They lost their minds. Of course the Dems got lumped into the hatemongering over the president so they were deserving of the same fate. And there you have it. Hatemongering and fearmongering allowed to create a volatile environment. |

I don't think the shooter followed politics.
I think he was nuts. As in not sane. Which is why he shot someone. It has nothing to do with conservatives. |

As a group Republicans are the most uninformed.
I know people who were never Republican until a Black man became President. My guess is had Obama been a Repub, they would now be Democrats. Sarah Palin is the most ignorant and unqualified Politician I've ever seen and yet look at her support. Look at the reasons they support her. (Wow! She has nice legs.) LOL A lot of the hate filled, radical voices don't even vote. They just spout off with their uninformed mouths. |

Not all conservatives are right wing nuts. But there are a good sprinkling of them in there.
In my opinion The birthers are not stable Those that believe Obama is a socialist/communist/Muslim are not stable. The religious fanatics and the racists are in there too. After that you have the sane conservatives. And those right wing nuts have been propagating hate and fear in manner to incite violence. |

Sane responses are a waste of time.
If one was to research past posts one would find that some only show when political points need to be hammered home to offset political losses cause we arn't as stupid as people thought. Ad infindium ad naseum. |

Its early in the day, most people are still at work. We have to wait and see what the results will be at 8 o' clock tonight. |

Yes indeed there you have it and that is only on the first page. I wonder how many there are who believe the political environment was not responsible for this tragedy(Id say his obsession with this figure could arguably qualify him as a political fanatic) but dont likewise alleviate religion as responsible for tragedies done by religious fanatics
I tend to believe in social responsibility so far as my belief that EVERYTHING affects something else and all choices lead to other choices,,,,which is why I can aknowledge the concept of 'responsibility' over 'blame',,,,but it would be an interesting side by side poll if the questions were asked is the political climate responsible for the recent shooting? and is the religion of Islam responsible for 9/11? |

This is how Sarah Palin really feels about violence and Giffords:
Jesse Kelly, Rep. Giffords' Republican opponent in a hard fought race for reelection held an event in June 2010 that makes the stakes all too clear. He asked supporters to donate $50 in order to "shoot a fully automatic M16" to "get on target" and help "remove Gabrielle Giffords."1 Sarah Palin subsequently praised Jesse Kelly on Fox Business News saying: "I don't feel worthy to lace his combat boots."2 1. I wonder who tells Palin what to say? Who is ventriloquists who has there arm up her butt and makes her mouth move to their words? |
