The poll referenced is skewed in re Arizona shooting responsibility.
it has been deliberately worded in such a way as to elicit a response from people reguarding S. Palin and not about the actual incident it purports to be 'polling'. This becomes evident when you read the second possible answer... "No - Regardless of the motive involved, political rhetoric has become too destructive in recent years and the use of a term like “blood libel” only makes it worse. " This question is based upon the hope that few know what 'blood libel' actually refers to. (the use of 'innocents' to bolster false belief that ones opponent is 'evil'). In my humble opinion this poll is a form of 'hate' speach by proxy... i.e. use of imagery to foster division. |

They're all pissed off because the liberal utopia they thought they would have for years to come is crumbling before their eyes and they cannot stand it. |

I don't think the shooter followed politics. I think he was nuts. As in not sane. Which is why he shot someone. It has nothing to do with conservatives. you really shouldn't waste your typing skills on these people... they are so anti repub they do not even see straight anymore...makes me sick to read some of there posts, and i'm not even repub either... Truest statement I have read. (And, I'm not a Republican either). |

(when built it allways crumbles)... this is because what one person considers 'Utopia' another sees as a 'confinement'... or worse. Truth is that those amoung the People that believe in the US from the left have been 'usurped' by the left fringe of the range of belief of 'Just Governance'... Just as those amoung the People that belief in the US from the right have been 'usurped' by the right fringe of the range of 'Just Governance'... And the two 'fringes' are using the rest of us for their 'battlefied', |

I was shocked to hear Allan Dershowitz (sp) defend her use even though there is nothing wrong with it and is very appropriate for what the hateful intolerant left has been saying. |

They use hot button issues to further their cause, one side says this and the other says that. The worst thing this country ever allowed was liberalism, to me it far worse than Christian conservatism. |

(and someone manipulates THEM). and... The 'conservative right' thinks they are in control of the right. (and someone manipulates THEM). But the current situation will soon reveal who is manipulating... I wonder how people will react to that. Head in sand. or Take a stand. |

No Thomas all we are saying is the violent rhetoric can lead to violent actions. People are products of their environment. Sure most emotionaly stable people can withstand outside influences but the sad fact is a large part of the population suffers some type of mental illness. Particularly those who follow the extreme right wing idiology
Even I we were to agree people are a product of their environment the goings on in Washington is not his environment. He may watch them on TV and read them in the news but that isn't his environment. If thats true then I should know kungfu because I watch the matrix trilogy XD. People also tried to blame video games for violent crimes. Koreans and Japanese play just as much video games if not more. Yet their violent crime rate is much much lower. |

It appears that the right are taking it personally that people want Palin and others of her ilk to not incite violence so blatantly in their speech so things like this don't happen because of it just in case this was related to something so obviously inciteful of violence.
It isn't personal it is a people asking for their supposed leaders to be less animalistic and more human acting. |

Yeah, but she's beautiful.
If you go for that redneck quitter unintelligent type. |

So I heard.
I can see right through her so I don't see all the beauty on the outside, I see the sickness on the inside. |
