Your Dad sounds like a smart man...........

Exactly -- NO sleep for weeks. I had to take them everywhere with me for two-three weeks. They loved the car. They still do!
I have a whole new respect for Mothers -- cats and human.
I had NOOOOO idea.

I know huh.
But the bonding is worth it.

It is a totally different experience than getting them at 6 or 8 weeks old.
Moofy thinks he's a dog, he sits and lays and stays on command. But then he also chases the sweeper and swats things on the tv screen. He's especially interested in football games lately. And Dad still doesn't like him.

Cats are generally 'one-person' felines,
perhaps that is why he is not bonding with your dad.
Or your dad has no time, what with all that porn :-)

These three love everyone. I made sure others fed them and cuddled with them and they don't know a stranger.
Maybe that's part of the problem. Not everyone wants a cat jumping on them, following them to the bathroom, sticking their cold wet noses in your ear, crawling up your leg with their claws, suckling on your shirt collar, no matter how endearing I find that!

He's only gruff when I'm in the room, soon as I leave the room he's cooing and sweet talking the cat, telling him how cute he is, he just doesn't realize I can hear him.

it has been a long time, i was off due to illness and my pc broke. its taken me this long to get back online, very frustrating.

life over here is great at mo except for the awfull wether lol

mines called eddie, we rescued him from the streets after he was hit by a car, had to have an absess removed from his brain so now he tilts his head to one side, hence the name eddie lol

I also have a ..special Eddy :-)

his only problem is somtimes if he goes to jump up on the window ledge he'll miss cos his co-ordination has gone. so he's a house cat now
