I enjoy cooking, I find it theraputic in some way..I don't cook as often as I like on the account I live alone, but when I have friends over, look out...:)

Yes, I cook and I cook for others because my household is small. I cater, and I encourage younger people to learn. It takes small amounts to make something very tasty, gourmet,even.
The holidays are quite enjoyable. I have cooked for a couple of parties last week. Someday I might even get paid for it.

The most fun for me is when my kids are home and they bring their friends home. Small town here. I have fed most of these kids for the school years my children were home. I send left overs with Miles back to college. When I visit Red, I bring him food for his lunch for the time I will not be there.

It isn't the cooking, it is the time sitting with and seeing the joy of sharing. Come to my house, I guarantee I can come up with good and tasty quickly.

As far as the profile thing...what people write on them are cookie cutter responses.

I love to cook but I cook too much and always end up throwing most of it out. I need to learn to cook "smaller" amounts

or find someone to share with...I know what you are saying.

Nah, I went from Me and my 3 kids to me and 1 kid...it is tough learning how to cook for two. LOL...And that DOES NOT include a significant other.

when I said ..share, I meant a neighbor or something. I am small town, and I share with a few people , friends that work outside the home. I am a caregiver, I basically cook for just one, my gal eats like a bird. I am working on a cook book so, I am in a cooking mode of thought..all the time.
I have downsized and understand where you are.

Not many people appreciate good food around here. They like the fried Texas things.....I don't eat fried foods, bread and all the unhealthy stuff these folks eat. I eat healthy.

I don't do fried or even microwave very often. I prefer healthy, myself...too

C'mon girls! Live a little! healthy people die too. Don't gotta do it everyday but, sometimes you deserve to indulge a little decadence. Dont matter if it is a marguerita breakfast, a chicken fried steak sandwich on Texas toast with gravy and extra cheese, or a fine cigar every once in a blue moon. Be a shame to live a life without at least sampling a bit of everything.
