Quote: "Kooldude79 were both your parents born in the states?" -
FairiesDoFly Yes, my parents and I are all born-bred Americans. Quote: "let me see. Kool...what DOES it take?...hmmm tolerance for exhorbitantly high taxes, tolerance to higher alcohol beer, love of snow, a snowmobile licence, it also doesn't hurt to have some communist leanings..oh..and a willingness to put up with even bigger idiots for politicians than the US has..other than that, just a visa lol" - PublicAnimalNo9 Higher taxes, strong brew, snowophilia (yes I'm making a new word!), snowmobile license (don't have one), communisim (Viva La Revolution), and Politic-Wars? Hmmmmmmmm, sounds pretty damn nice. Well if all shit breaks out here in America, just consider myself a refugee. J\k. I got to check Canada out. |

well seriously...it IS a beautiful country and a great place to visit,
and if ya feel like taking an extended vacation during the war in Iraq, it's a great place to check out cuz there's so much to see and experience...other than that tho, ya wouldn't wanna live here.... I'm old enough I don't gotta worry about serving military time so I'm working on being able to live and work in the US legally. But then again, I spent 22 years(age 5-27) living across the river from Detroit. We got one Canadian station on the TV and 13 US ones...BEFORE cable. Any radio I listened to was from Detroit, and went to Detroit quite regularily, sometimes just for shits and giggles. And as I've gotten older, I found my values were more in line with American values then Canadian(Not so much what Bush is doing now, but American values in general). I lived in MN for a few months last year and loved it. |
