ya he did! plus i love the way he describes the sound/source of the voice,action of the tounge and of coarse the total liquifying at the end! who needs Saw!!

Definitely Poe and Lovecraft. Also Hemingway, Virginia Woolf, and Faulkner. Tons others too. Kafka's Metamorphosis was cool.
