I belong to both of these, and am a grey nomad, so of no help to you. I did live in Canada for nearly thirty years, and is always challenging to change countries. Australia can be a hard landing for those unprepared, as it does require a sixth sense here that always speaks of caution before proceeding if one does not know the terrain.
