how does cobblestone work. Look up the site I post on here and click on Images for landscaping walls. |

cobblestone is more of a paving material. (think cobblestone streets) i have seen it used as a facing on walls and fireplaces, but for the most part, it requires an existing wall (surface) to adhere to.
there are many kinds of stone that can be used to as an alternative to brick and some can be dry stacked (no mortar) it all depends on what is available locally, unless there is no concern about shipping of course. |

i've seen billions of images.
literally. some work the same way as bricks, right? |
yeah i know it's used more for paving.
which is why i might switch it. i want the paths to be the same material as the walls. |

some work the same way as bricks, right? Yes, Since your looking for the path to look the same as the wall. Then look at flagstone. |
they do make brick pavers too
i know.
but i don't know if i like all that red now. and i don't like the way flagstone looks as paths. i'm going to have like thirty foot pathways. flagstone won't cut it. |

some work the same way as bricks, right? Yes, Since your looking for the path to look the same as the wall. Then look at flagstone. this is why i suggested a block wall. you can have the height you want and you can put the stone on both sides of the wall (top as well) while also using it to pave the walkway. it doesn't have to be flagstone, there are many others that can be used. |

i'm sorry i don't have a damn penis.
>.< it's just you guys think about it as functional. i have to think about it as art. there's reasons to why i want a certain way or color. |

that's all fine, but some of these factors have to be known and sometimes you can't change your mind in mid stream without problems.
just give me a stone that looks as geometric as a brick.
but comes in more colors than just red. and can be broken down to have jagged edges. |

you want me to do two hundred and forty feet of faux rock.
why not real rock. |
it's more cost effective....you may find you will have more flexibility, more choices (colors, sizes...ect)
just something to look at. |
