I've had this idea clanking around in my head for awhile now. It's to use colored glass, mp3 technology, and woodwork to create artsy type furniture such as coffee & end tables or the like. The notion is to build in accent lighting and a docking/amplification/speaker system. The art glass would be inlaid and backlit and maybe even use some gold and silver leafing... Use some semi exotic wood grains maybe... I've done a few polished & stained concrete countertops with some back/under lighting built in to create accent points and they've been pretty well received. I'm gathering up materials and components now... I figure I'll use a weekend after the holidays are over to see what I can come up with... Would love to see photos when you have completed the project ((((Allen))))! Other than missing my kids & grandbabies during this time of the year...I am fantastic. Looking forward to next weekend...friends are hooking me up on a blind date. No expectations, just going to have a nice time. He's a lawyer...and also owns a horse, (could finally have a riding partner!?).

i love wood art. African mask, wood figurines. Wood bowls. I collect them and decorate them in my house. Antique stores. And i also do driftwood art. Driftwood that has great shapes and has been beat up by the sand. I have pics of all them on my FB.

I love seeing others work but, people are reluctant to break it out. Just remember, it is your artwork. It doesnt have to be good enough for anyone else. If it makes you happy, then it is good enough. |

im crocheting my grandkids blankets for christmas i even made one for my mom and my great neice i have 3 done and 2 to go im half done with my oldest granddaughter. its a butterfly and im using yellow for the triming and the way it looks its butterfly with the sun in the back its pretty cool its almost done and then i need to start with my grandsons my great neice i was playing around with the stiches on the yarn not realizing what i was doing and it came out as a heart... 
Would you be willing to put up pictures of them? I'd love to see them. I made a dogwood flower afghan for my aunt, so when she passed my cousin gave it to me. I'm glad because it reminds me of my aunt. Also I wanted one for me but it was too labor intensive to make another one. |
