Here's something that a friend of mine asked me and I'm just curious to see what others think. I know that it might sound like a strange question because I thought it was when I was asked it. But, here it goes.
Is it possible for two people to remain friends even after they have slept together?

yes it is.. I'm not sure I understand what's so strange about the question.. I think it's similar to "can men and women be just friends" and the answer is yes as well....

It's about the people involved not the act involved...

it totally depends on the people and the original intentions. if one of the "friends" intent was to sleep with the other "friend", then the friendship might be over at that point. some people have a strong emotional attachment to sleeping together and can't handle just a friendship following that. on the other hand it might just be "something that happened" and the friendship continues despite that. it does leave a mark on a friendship, but whether it destroys or allows the friendship to continue is up to the individuals involved.

I believe you can be better friends,
having gotten all the tingles out
of the way.

Hi I think it depends. What I mean is that if one of the person's still likes the other person then.........is it fair to remain friends with them, knowing that they want more from you, and you cannot give them that.....why?....because you want to just be friends? If your conscience says yes I can do that (just be friends).......then do it. But if your conscience says....well, I don't want to remain friends.... because if i truly was their friend....would I allow myself to be the reason for their pain? (the fact they cannot have you for anything other than a friend.) The other side of this coin is I think everyone must check their own motive in each of their breakups. What I mean is if I break up with a girl, and I just want to be friends, but she wants more.....I have to ask myself....am I just keeping her around as a friend because Im lonely or because I havent made any new friends?, etc...because if that's the case....then my reason for the after relationship friendship is selfish.....but if I truly want my ex-girlfriend around because I care about her...then I think its ok to still be friend. Just my thoughts my friends (and yes, I checked my motive before I called you friend - LOL!!)

It depends on how you mean it. Just slept together or is "slept" ment as "had sex"?

if they started out as friends in the first place, it is likely they can remain so if they want to

I have had this expereince and he & I are still friends and have actually hung out together - traditionally I make him choc chip cookies every Christmas as he is from Kenya (in Africa) and that was my way of welcoming him to American Christmas traditins. Now I am worried because he will go to my place for cookies this year as he has done the past 3 yrs and I have movedtears

Without knowing all the variables involved, I would say "no" if one was in love and the other one was not. There are those that will only have it full on or full off.
Now, if there wasn’t any love as part of the equation…I than would assume (remember, am only assuming) that it would not be a problem.
