maybe she didn't want to be a slave to a muslim...we all how women are treated over there, so can you blame her?

'says someone that isn't even around white people...say that when a black guys trys to beat the crap out of for being white... '

'we all how women are treated over there, so can you blame her?'

I CALL INCONSISTENT VALUES,,,,,,

what? ... so move over their and live if it's so good....i don't care
you really lost me on that one...

the statement that we all know how women are treated where the OP lives is no better than the statement that prompted you to imply that someone who doesnt LIVE it(in your case, being a white male experiencing discrimination) shouldnt be speaking on it or have an opinion

it was not fine for someone to stereotype your experience but fine for you to stereotype others?.....

so are saying they don't treat women bad? do i need to start making posts to show what they do to women over their when i know that you know how they treat them?

no, I am saying that muslims are not all the same and do not all treat women the same and to make a statement implying otherwise or grouping all muslims as such is dishonest and divisive

ok, enlighten me... what muslim country are women treated as equals?

equal by whose standards?

men and women are not the same, different CULTURES recognize that in different ways and RELIGIOUS cultures especially

we do not demand women enlist, because we aknowledge gender differences

aknowledging a gender difference is different than treating someone as unequal
don't dodge the question...

I cant until I get the definition of 'treating equal'

ok then use your definition of it...

isms persist under every religious title, political title, or cultural titie in the world

there are no fewer christian sexists than muslim ones, but many fail to see that,,,,

or that there are many women, who actually AGREE with certain standards and roles and submit to them willingly,,,

by my definition, I know NO culture that treats women as EQUAL,

the cultures I know recognize certain expectations from men and others from women

in the US women are expected to be the homemakers and men are expected to provide

women are expected to be the assist to men and men be the leaders

y is it especially heinous if a woman murders her child
or especially heinous of a grown man has sex with a minor student

because we dont treat men and women with EQUAL regard either

I have met several women who have converted to Islam and not the Americanized version either. I pissed off one of their men one time by looking him in the eye when I spoke to him. It is a matter of preference. I could not convert to that religion because I would be killed. I am just too independent and non subservient. But some women like to be dominated. To each their own.

im not ok with being expected to be the sole responsible adult for the children I bring in the world(society generally says because the woman is getting pregnant it should be her obligation to take the responsibility MORE than the mans)

Im not ok with being sexualized anytime my cleavage is visible or my behind is in view

Im not ok with being paid less for the same job as a man

...to name a few,,,but THOSE realities are confined to certain REGIONS and certain SITUATIONS,, just like the issues you associate , inaccurately, with the entire MUSLIM community

Considering not all of that is true. If a woman is accepting of it, it is hers to be accepting of.

I am a big fan of a woman's "choice"....and even if she "chooses" to be a "traditional homemaker". I just haven't seen many Dogmatic diciplines that TRULY support anything other than THAT "choice".

Sorry peoples here.
i have been here last 2 hours with one women from USA we date all off thinks but when we arrived to religions i say to here i am Muslim she has finished conversation.why she do that?

Short answer: She didn't notice earlier that you are Muslim, and she does not want to have a relationship with a Muslim.

Yet, she should have explained why she ended the conversation.

social trends are intertwined in religious dogma

I have seen repetitively the instant APPRECIATION and COMPLIMENT to a male when he is out with his children compared to the complete lack of notice when a woman is,,,,

the expectations are there and widely succumbed to...

great answer, perhaps she still will, perhaps she didnt know if her explanation would be good enough

many people are too non confrontational to further explain a rejection

Sure...this goes along with Western stereotypes of a "go-getter" woman being a b*&$h! Just saying that I disagree......(SO not trying to patronize), but I think that "widely succumed to" ideals need to be challenged....ESPECIALLY when it comes to wisdom of the sexes! I KNOW that "I" have a lot to learn.

Not to mention, if you're just chatting why should you have to explain why you do not care to continue chatting? Why is it so many expect that they are "owed" and explanation? The truth can hurt and sometimes they may not want the explanation.. I've found being too honest with why someone doesn't interest you only encourages the confrontational to get rude when faced with the reason for the "rejection"..
