If someone lists on their profile that they are athletic, but have a double chin?

Or if someone has a massive beer belly, are they really only a few extra pounds?


I am not judging. However, sometimes I really wonder what people are thinking when they self-identify their body type.

lol!! I agree. I guess everyone has their own definition of "athletic", "average", etc..............or in denial like a mofo!

Yep, I guess all have a different perception of what a 'few extra pounds' is. Also 'curvy' seems to mean different things to different peeps. A big ole beer belly is just unhealthy to me me even if it is just "a few extra pounds".

Every idiot who played football in the street in fourth grade thinks that they are jocks. I point this out repeatedly at work to no avail.

I can't cast stones about the "few extra pounds". I got a three pound pecker so I gotta cut those people some slack.

I think insecurity is at fault here. When I was little, I was fat. I was picked on constantly, and it's not a good feeling. Fortunately I was able to 'grow up,' and not worry about what people think of me. Unfortunately, there are those who can't be comfortable with themselves, and for the sake of saving face, they lie about their body size.

Its simple really,,,MOST people,,,just lie....

as far as athletic, it makes me think someone is active in sports(that doesnt always mean they are slim, I know some thick people who have unbelievable skill and stamina at sports)


as far as a few extra pounds, Id say it would depend on what their IDEAL weight was and what percentage over they are,,,


a man who is carrying 260 pounds but should be 240 has got a few extra pounds(8% over),,, however a woman carrying 160 pounds who should be 140(15% over) has more than a few extra pounds

I pay less attention to the body type they list in their profile and more attention to the actual pictures. Though, many don't post full body pictures in their profile.

My pot belly is just a protective covering for those rock hard abs I have underneath.

I could probably go with average but I put a few extra pounds cuz I'm a little thick in the hips/booty/thighs region

I've seen the debate about having a "curvy" selection which describes me better than any of the others but most guys seem to think it's an excuse fat chicks use not to put that they are over weight
